Question about Field Maple

Field Maple Compound need Field maple, Where can i find this field maple ?

I harvest Severed Maple, but it won't let me use it. so i figure there is a recipe to turn the severed maple into field maple ? if there is which recipe it is?

the answer is.... the moon.. apparently when luclin blew up, it took all of the field maple with it and left alchemists utterly dismayed

**non-stupid answer = its not in game, as far as i can tell... it *might* be a puchased item at wholesaler guilds with the appropriate level, but that wouldnt really make a whole lot of sense...**

It is likely an extra component from some other recipe. Like the loams or maple scraps. Possibly one of the non-scholar recipes too.

Just going by the name of the item you are trying to make (Field Maple Compound) it seems like it should be an item gathered from herb/fungi nodes. Maybe a rare?

it wouldnt make sense to be a rare and have the products that use it in the essential books.. having it be a byproduct is possible, but ive made just about everything a scholar can make and havent gotten it.. it might be a woodworker biproduct of something, i know there's something that they get called "wood shavings" or something..

once alchemists reach level 20 they will discover that there is another item missing, called Plantain.. ive harvested everything (except traps) in nektulos, and came up empty for plantain...

I haven't seen any sycamore, either.

I'm guessing that the field maple, sycamore, and radishes, are all supposed to come off of a different type of plant, but that the plant in question didn't make an appearence in the game. Its frustrating, since these are the items that are used in the tier 2 potions that are found in the first few levels after 10.

I can try maple scraps tonight, my craftsman twink has stacks and stacks of them.

Also, I'm amused that plantain is not in the game. Plantain is a very common plant in Europe and the US, and is very useful for wrapping cuts and burns with, as it is a natural antiseptic. I am frequently picking plantain out of the field in real life and wrapping my cuts and scrapes with it. Also, a plantain poultice is very handy for large bruises. Also, you can use cut onion on bruises to reduce the swelling/color... *wanders off topic*

Anyway, it's very common in the real world.

I have harvested lots of Sycamore. Just no field maple.

Also called heal-all, or self-heal, the generic name is prunella vulgaris, and is quite prolific. It's not like the banana-type plantain. *wanders even further off topic..sorry*

I find all the time the sycamore, or whatever the spelling is
i always destroy it because i don't do alchemy and have just not room for everything to stuff away

I harvest in commonlands around cross roads as lvl 10 druid it is more or less save and you can sprint easily back to the guards hehe

anyway i love that you can harvest from a far distance so no need to go very close

Its just a missing item. Its not available in game yet. Scraps can be made into Turned Maple. Turned Maple is used for the Totems (as of lvl 15).

Regarding "Plantain", I think I actually harvest it from a fungi earlier in tier3.

But not sure, i'll try again, since i had no use of it, i threw it away :rolleyes:

Well I'll try again tommorow, the zone is pretty creepy since i am only lvl 21 :p

sadly first workshop task was for 10 ebs and now 10 elixers of something that require field maple and the shop keep wont clear this one :mad:
