Simple question really, are these worth doing? I got one to make 10 Iron Battle hammers, which I could sell for easily 50-100 Sp given time. Whats the reward for doing this type of quest like?

I did one at level 10 (which gives you a level 9 final combine). My task was to make 10 shaped tailored rawhide pants. I had to quit out of several of them to stop at the shaped stage, but when I was finished and went to the quest giver guy I was given somewhere around 45-46sp for finishing. Not sure if this scales up per level or per tier, but it more than covered my costs plus a bit left over. Also it helps to level up your society (got like 1/2% for my society of 1 for that task)

Reward seems to be based on your skill and the instance your working for. Wholesaler instances that give out collections have been paying me 12 silver for 15 items, pretty good since you can find them on a broker for less than 5 silver for all 15 most times. Ive gotten a quest to make 10 shaped rawhide leather satchels twice, both times i got right at 48-50 silver, this being from my class structure. If you are going to buy items from a broker to turn in quickly to the wholesaler, remember this, You must buy the items ONE AT A TIME. Buying a stack only gets you credit for 1.

Unfortunately as of yet I have not been about to test this since I can't find anyone to make me Maple staves for the battle hammers, even if I supply all the resources. :( Freeport on Antonis is really lacking craftsmen.

The reward is SUPPOSED to be... when your society gets to tier 3, the merchant may sell the tempers and such. We have not been able to test this yet ad no-one has gotten that far.

Rememeb that if you do not like your task you can get it changed once every real world 24 hours by asking the taskmaster in the appropriate trade society for a new task.

This will not work if you have just finished a task and received a new one btw and you may lose some current status in your society. I have had to do it twice in my outfitter society but so far I have 0 current status there in any case so it was not an issue.

I now have a task for iron battlehammers, which I CAN make and am working on, instead of thread based items that I had before.

As an outfitter, if we get a tailoring task or an armor task.. what is the real difference? Why change quests, you should be able to to make say a thread item as well as a sword or iron bp as a general outfitter.

Switch from battlehammers to Burlap Shawls. As mentioned the reward was 48sp and change, plus the faction boost. Not bad if you barter for everything you need, but horrible if you by directly from others (at least on AB).

One important thing to now, make sure you only make the Quality that they ask for in the task. I was asked to make 10 shaped Burlap Shawls. My first was pristine and it didn't count.

Guess the bottum line is, as with eveything, make friends with a bunch of Scholars and Craftsmen so you can get a good deal and this is a valid way of making cash.

I made (-10-) App III Essence of Call to Arms for the 7 Smiths Society in Greystone and recieved 46 Silver 80 copper.
Made everything myself and ended up making probably 40 Silver on the deal.
I did have some of the stuff already made in the bank before i started this quest.

My Society is level 3 on BlackBurrow. I notice nothing new on the merchants but could be wrong cant remember seeing "Shaped Tin Bars" and "Shaped Iron Bars" for sale on merchants.

As an outfitter, if we get a tailoring task or an armor task.. what is the real difference? The difference was, at that time, I had a source for staves but did not have a source for one of the components for the first quest I had received. That is now changed and I take whatever Outfitter task I get now.

The worst workshop I had to do yet is making 10 Tailored Shaped Burlap cuffs.

That involved 80 combines, At least 30 of which had to be done by sage or craftsmen, something like 3 of 4 stacks of Tier 2 harvested components...
All that for a thanks and 44 sp  (and 100 status points that disappeared the next time I logged)

The next one was making 10 sunfish sandwiches - 10 combines from vendor sold somponents... for the same result. :(

I am not even going to look into these quest till they fix the bug..I am tired of having to ask to re-enter the trueshot outfitters every time I log in.
