Higher quality elm boxes have more than 6 slots - 7 for the third level, 8 for pristine.

Anyone know how the alder compares to the elm? I noticed that I have a recipe for it, but no alder, and was curious. If not, I'll check ingredients and pester guildies to go fetch so I can test it :o

Warning for you in advance, alder is a rare harvest. Obviously you scribed a dropped book at some stage that had that in it. While it's cool you have that recipie, be prepared for the idea that you won't be using it any time really soon. These rare drops are really rare.

The part that makes me cry is I *know* I got Alder once, and I can't find it. My husband is pretty sure he has some in the bank though, so mayhap I handed it to him /crosses fingers. I'd hate to think I accidentally destroyed it instead of something common

If you did any chemestry you probably turned your Ash wood into clororesin or clorooil.
Those are and many other alchemy recipies use (ANY) Organic resource and by default it the interface stacks tries to use what ever stack of material in your inventory is the smallest.

Apparently I gave it to my hubby, who gave it back. Unfortunatley , for some reason I have recipes for planed alder lumber and alder strong box and a few other alder recipes. But not for Alder lumber. /sigh

Oh, I was wondering, with regard to the boxes...
Can you put bag IN the boxes? Say, for example, you have a 6-slot pristine Elm Box. Can you put in a backpack, with it's however-many slots in one of the box slots? Or, is that level of recursion not allowed?

You need the dropped book Artisan Refining vol 4

Nope =) That would allow us to create "infinite" storage which the devs are definately against.

Hehe, I'm not looking for infinite storage -- just bags within boxes. One extra layer.
But, that said, having 12 slots (including the 4 shared) with elm boxes is enough for a newbie, and it gets me through the artisan levels practically.
:-)
Which book has the elm boxes in it? I only have elm lumber right now. I'm guessing I didn't buy the artisan 4 basic book.

FYI: The Pristine Alder Strong Box has 12 slots, so same as Maple. Though I've not made Maple boxes yet, so I was thrilled :)

I believe it is Artisan Basics vol 5. Err whatever the name of the book is from IoR.
