I've looked and I haven't found the answer to my question.. (Its 2am so forgive me if I've overlooked it.) My main is 71, so I had this wild idea of going to do the quest for the sokokar..I found out rather quickly that soloing that ain't gonna happen anytime soon, so I went back to work to raise my crafting level to 65 to do that quest instead. Many hours later, fingers numb and vision blurred I hop on the boat to get the other quest from Jones. Apparently the first one can not be deleted, Jones won't give me the other one...

My question is this.. since I already have the first one am I just stuck with it? I generally play alone since most of my friends have either left the game or are still on EQ1. I've /ooc'd several times to see if anyone felt like helping me with the adventuring quest but no takers. I'd really rather just do the crafter version but it seems I'm out of luck... anyone know anything about this particular problem?

Thanks

I believe that since you were over lvl 65 ADV .. you were already locked out of the Crafting Version of the Sokokar.

So... yes, you are stuck doing the Adventure version. However, you can put it off a few levels, if need be, it's not too horribly hard to get to Fens and Highton even without the Sokokar. Just have to do a lot of swimming and running.

I kinda figured that was the case but thought I'd ask anyway to be sure. Was hoping I was wrong.. Thanks for the help :)

Yes, being level 65 adventurer blocks you from doing Jones' version of the quest.

I'm not sure, though, that running around KP trying to do other quests will work if you can't handle the sokokar line... it's about the easiest stuff out there.

I'vealready done the sokokar line.. I'm just at the end where you have to free Lynchpin. I can handle one of the drolvargs.. at times I can manage two, but having all four of them jump me is just too much.. and that's if I manage not to agro the ones outside the tree. I tried to just click him, but apparently you have to kill the drolvargs.

When I did that quest, I too could handle 1, maaaybe 2 drolvargs. If I remember right, ultimately I wound up adding in a couple of my AEs, managing to take down 2 drolvargs before dying ... then coming back and killing the last two before the first two respawned.

Kill the wandering drolvargs near one of the tree entrances. VERY CAREFULLY body pull the nearest two "inside" drolvargs out of the tree, one at a time. Body-pull the 3rd away from the 4th a bit; you don't have to run all the way outside the tree for him. Kill the 4th one where he stands. Free Lynchpin. Easy. I've done it with a paladin, warden, templar, troubador, and illusionist, all solo and never higher than level 70.

There's no reason to fight two drolvargs at a time anywhere on this quest if you don't rush too much on the pulls, and don't dawdle too much so they respawn.

Thank you so much! That worked perfectly.. I dunno why it never occurred to me to try it that way. I just kept going in and getting ambushed :P
