Hey where is my extra slot????

I was making a bunch of backpacks for use on all my characters when I noticed something odd. Back when I was a low level artisan, and just making backpacks for more space I did not pay attention to this.

Shaped Rawhide Leather Backpack = 5 slots
Rawhide Leather Backpack = 6 slots
Pristine Rawhide Leather Backpack = 6 slots?????

Hey where is my extra slot?? I mean this backpack was a thing of beauty...pristine even...

Seriously shouldn't pristine be better than the others? Is this a bug, or something that was just missed? If anyone knows let me know. I put a bug report in, but want to make sure it just wasn't me.

Pristine is better. The regular backpacks have only 5% weight reduction while pristine has 10%.

And trust me you will REALLY apreciate that extra 5% weight reduction when your out gathering all those HEAVY roots. Its bound to lowere your weight from 35/150 to 33/150 :cool: Yes I'm being a little sarcastic here because No player under level 20 can go hunting and over load himself even if he filled 6x 8 slot 0% reduction packs.

So the weight reduction is not going to come into play untill the level 25+ players start looting Vanguard plate armor off of mobs and at that point in time they will be making tons of cash and be buying much larger packs ( 10+ slot packs) because 2 more slots in each of the 6 packs = 12 more slots and 12 more slots filled with 12 pieces of looted plate armor .... each time they go out hunting ... well you do the math on what 10+ slot weight reducing packs will be worth.

I have overloaded myself with tin spears @ level 9...... of course that was when missing 3 spirit shards from the darksteel bandits darn trains

I seem to remember reading a story here about a young crafter who during the first weeks of beta forgot to empty out several items into the bank. They then went around adventuring with several very heavy pieces of furniture on their back. So you can hit that encumbered mark though it is more likely to only make a difference between the TS instance and you bank. At later levels though it may be a huge help.
