I'm a fairly new tinkerer, lvl 70. And I'm trying to do searches on the broker for the looted recipes. Problem is, there is a search for every other tradeskill class, jut not tinkering (and transmuting). Is this a problem with my UI or were they never added, or is it really there and I'm just too blind to see them? If not, could we please get them added? If they were all listed as blueprints or tinkerer it woudln't be so bad, but as far as I know, they are not. :(

The only looted recipe books for Tinkerers that don' have blueprints in the name tis the adornment recipes pre-T8. (T8's adornment recipe book tis called Enigma of the Tinkerer Volume 8.) Arctic (Glimmering, Lambent, Luminous, Sparkling) Apparatus; Draining (Glimmering, Lambent, Luminous, Shimmering, Sparkling) Dohickey; Eznertob's Consecrated Contraption; Screewoggins' Poisonous Paraphernalia; Screwloose's Arctic Apparatus; Tinmizer's Terrible Thingamajig; and Toxic (Glimmering, Lambent, Luminous, Sparkling) Thingie are the recipes I have for the Tinkered adornments. I don' believe I am missing any. I hope tis helps. :)

Yep, I suggest searching for "Blueprint:" for the rare dropped ones. That colon is important too, otherwise you'll end up getting any vendor-sold ones that people relist as well. The only ones you'll miss that way are the adornments that howlingmoon talks about.

So what these curmudgeons are dancing around is that no, the option isn't there. :D

Sounds like a reasonable request to me!

I find that setting item type to "recipe book" then in item name typing "-volume -teachings -deathfist" filters out enough to make it easy to see the weird named recipes.

That's a good tip! I was wondering if the broker window worked like most normal browser search engines where you can "-" certain search parameters. :)

It hasn't always worked that way, but excluding words with minus signs and searching for partial words ("feys clu" to find feysteel clusters) was added a few months back.

Oh! That is a great tip, I didn't know they had that time saver.:) I've been hunting and searching for the correct spelling and full name of things to search on the broker and wasting loads of time.

Thanks:):)
