I apologize greatly if I have missed the answers to these on he web site. I have looked for about 15 minutes and have not seen any help so I am posting.
Are thre tradeskill books for Outfitters and if so are they sold? If there are sold books who sells them? I have gotten 3-4 varying level tradeskill books for outfitters from drops but I have been unable to find any vendor purchasable ones.
Also one of the books I DID get off a drop gave me 'waxed leather' recipes. Sadly it did not give me the recipe for 'waxed leather' itself which is required for these recipes. Any have any idea where to find it or if it is missing, like 'suspensions' (as a crusader it is driving me nuts not being able to upgrade my skills past Apprentive II)?
Thank is advance for any help you can give.

Now, dont shoot the messenger here folks, but, aside from scholars, the level 3 to 9 dropped books are not worth anyones time, other than for collecting, i.e. wait until you are rich and fat. If you want to make your own adept spells level 1-10 then go ahead, I was not impressed with any of the others, the items were 'cool', and 'unusual', but so quickly bypassed by the customer, that significant cash outlay was not in anyone's best interest.
So, my bias is, I will grab them when/if I can.
Waxed leather is for low, level 5 to 11 or so light armor.
Now, level 11++ dropped books, a completely different story.
Cured leather recipes will be in here.
You need Oufitter 11 (dropped) in order to use any of these.
All the others have either armor or wpns, with armor having more uses, as, still, wpns from quests and group challenge named mobs outdo anything I have been able to make - most sales were for dual wield types, as they usually only had found 'one' good one.
I made about a dozen rare items in the outfitter series level 11 to 20 and I liked all of them, I think only one was bugged (a pristine cured leather skullcap that was worse than the tanned).

all dropped books require rare ingrediants to use..
all rare ingreditnts need to be refined form thier raw form.
So all dropped books require the refining dropped book and the recipie book as well (at least) unless you can get someone else to refine the rare good for you.

To answer your actual question, yes, there are normal outfitter books. You have to join an outfitter society and go in there. The vendors in there sell books up through all the outfitter branches also.

OK when trying to get a tradeskill society I tried all over Castleview Hamlet and the ONLY one to accept me was Charter of the Truthbringer. I know read this is a wholesaler structure (not positive what that is).
Do you mean I now must LEAVE this society and go join Marrs Outfitting or join them in addition to CotT?

Charter of the truthbringer is the wholesale society. This is mostly for levels 1-9 when you are an artisan. At level 10 when you pick a class, in this case outfitter, you can join the specific society for that class on top of the wholesaler society. The class specific society is where you get your class specific books 10+
So yes join Marrs Outfitting and buy your books from the vendor in there.

This is Wrong... it is a correct in a general asspet.. but not 100% correct.. allot of them are advanced items... using more than normal amouts of stuff or just differnt peices... Some books are a waste of time... but some are well worth it!
