I was wondering if anyone out there has screenshots of their use of the new pillars in their home. Currently we (my bf and I) are working on a temple project and a 'gazebo' project. But I'd love to see other people's ideas as well.

Oooh, yes, I'd love to see screenies!
About all I've done with my pillars so far in my SK's Freeport 3-room is to sink them half-buried in the wall behind her altar, so that they look like natural embellishment to the stone wall look that she chose. I'm waiting on redecorating binges for my Qeynos, Freeport and Kelethin homes until after GU37 hits, so I can juggle appropriate hand-me-downs from house to house as I shuffle things in the Qeynos mansion to make room for massive redecorating of her music room as well as the kitchen that takes up most of the basement. :)

A temple and a gazebo...oh my! I would love to tour them when you are done. On Test, at Three Walks of Dead, look for Vvenna's house. She put them to good use.

So far the temple is coming along nicely (if you can use such a term about a room devoted to Innoruuk). Aelestar won't let me post pics yet untill he's comfortable with letting Niami view it... aaw. But I'm thrilled with his usage of the large pillars and the new bone sconces and anyone who'll convert an entire Neriak basement to such narrow parameters has my admiration.
As for my Gazebo thing, it's at the hair pulling stage atm. I'm located at 8 Integrity Road NFP, on Lucan Dlere. Feel free to drop by and laugh :os
Incidently I'm also building a Wannabe-Japanese screenwall upstairs and it's looking very charming already.
I'll post screenshots as soon as possible.
finally, though I should probably stick this in a post of it's own: Know of any pictures of Maj'Dul houses? i'm dying to have a look, but it seems there is no touring the place before you've gained enough faction?
Happy decorating!

EDIT: I found pictures of Maj'Dul housing at Eq2vault: eq2vault.ign.com/screenshots/?cat=10

Bugger! I would love to visit all these places but I'd have to delete a character just to be able to peek in on another server. Hence I was hoping for screenshots.
Aelestar says he's almost done with his temple (though I noticed some of his lights are still dangling in the middle of the air so hmm...).
I'm off to go pull some more hair :oD

Okay, I got a little side tracked, but I think my time was not completely wasted:
You'll need to copy/paste the links below as I've not yet rounded the magic 5 posts yet :p
Screen Building:
Front view (http://images.filecloud.com/537744/EQ2_000087.jpg) of the screen wall. It's placed on the loft I built in my FRP 3-room
Another front view (http://images.filecloud.com/537745/EQ2_000088.jpg) with a clearer peak into the room beyond. I'm thinking of exchanging the bonzais for two collection reward dragon statues.
A view from the bedroom side (http://images.filecloud.com/537746/EQ2_000089.jpg). I used the pillars to block of the space between the screens. It had to be fairly wide for me to place the paintings to my satisfaction, but that gave me the added bonus of placing light sources in between the screens to great effect, I thought.
This is how far the so-called Gazebo/Hair (http://images.filecloud.com/537747/EQ2_000090.jpg) project has come.

Temple is done! Follow the links below for a picture tour into the works of a black hearted worshipper of Innoruuk:
A corner view of the main sacristy (http://images.filecloud.com/538474/EQ2_000091.jpg)
The urns on the left are, I'm told, the mortal remains (http://images1.filecloud.com/538475/EQ2_000092.jpg) of certain ancestors
The back wall of the temple contains a casket (http://images1.filecloud.com/538476/EQ2_000093.jpg) that holds ceremonial vestments and the gruesome looking meat hanger behind it is apparently for certain gory ceremonial components.
The Dervish Lashing board (http://images.filecloud.com/538477/EQ2_000094.jpg) to your right is for unwilling spectators to the ceremonies, and the skull adorned post is for temporarily hanging the fine vestments on so they don't get mussed by all that wet stuff.
And finally a picture of Njaen in communion (http://images.filecloud.com/538478/EQ2_000095.jpg) with his god.
I think he did really well on this. And I will have to do better is all :D

P.S. his adress is: Njaen, 3 Walk of the Dead, Neriak - Lucan Dlere

Love the Temple. If I may ask, what is it you used for the walls? I've been away from Eq2 for quite a while, and they don't look familiar to me. Now that I am returning, I have pland for my house, and those would work great for some things I have in mind.

Hi Verity
If by walls you mean the "blue stuff" I'm afraid that is non-optional with the new housings in Neriak.

Thanks Jeniel,
I was actually referring to the white board like things you were using for a wall. I have since figured out that they were paintings :D.
My hubby & I are finally getting back into the game after 6 montha, & are currently betraying our fae to Neriak, and I plan on making full use of the gorgeous colors of the neriak housing

So while the garden/gazebo thing is still somehow eluding my muse's interest, she did conjure up some interesting things elsewhere:
Sales Front Project
Entry view (http://images1.filecloud.com/557655/EQ2_000095.jpg)
Sales Containers (http://images1.filecloud.com/557660/Sales%20containers.jpg) placed about the place
Right side (http://images1.filecloud.com/557667/Right%20Side.jpg) of the sales front. The shiny thing in the middle of the "Painting of a Sun God"-frame is the stone tablet from the Froglok quest.
Overview (http://images1.filecloud.com/557668/EQ2_000104.jpg)
As I was constructing the sales front I looked up and had a nasty suspicion (http://images.filecloud.com/557648/EQ2_000093.jpg)
Ah yes, slight set back (http://images.filecloud.com/557653/EQ2_000092.jpg) there
But my muse luckily got her fat behind of her high horse and saved me with an idea. (http://images1.filecloud.com/557677/EQ2_000106.jpg)
A closer view (http://images1.filecloud.com/557679/EQ2_000107.jpg). I really want to keep the upstairs rooms very spartan. Of course the fact that I've already maxed my item count a dozen times helps with that decision :p
Well, maybe I'll get around to doing the gazebo now... Or maybe not quite yet (http://images1.filecloud.com/557681/EQ2_000105.jpg)
It might be a while before I get around to do any more serious decorating as my boyfriend and I are moving from Europe to the States. I'll sneak in when ever possible though and see what you guys have been up to.

Hi all
I'm currently organizing all my screen shots into project folders. I didn't know I would become so involved with this nor that I would be taking so many pictures so everything was beginning to look like a mound of rubbish. I've have been graciously allowed to collect all my ongoing work and pictorial documentation (<- look who just had her morning coffee, Ha!) into one fresh thread. That will be the gist of this mornings' efforts. Link to new thread will follow in a giffy.
