Example stats from a Rare Crafted item?

So how does the rare material jazz work?
how do you know. and someone have the stats from something they made already?

If you have the recipe, you can examine the icon in the recipe's examine window and see stats for the shaped version of whichever piece. If I recall, the ac/level is the same for all of the rare stuff of the shaped quality. If these recipes follow the same pattern as the electrum/turquoise ones, we'll be able to infer the stats of the items with a reasonably educated guess.
