I'm about to be an outfitter, and really want to be a weaponsmith once I surpass that. I'm surprised I havent been able to figure these small details out yet, but I figured this was probably the best place to find my answers if they are to found. Which one of the crossgaurd, the pommel, and the edge is the mot important piece if your trying to make something past crude or formed?

Edge is the most important. It allows you to go to the final step. I think the pommel adds the buffs, and the cross guard...well no clue.

In all recipes, only the first item listed in the recipe (known as the primary component) has an impact on the final quality.

The quality on the other parts doesn't matter at all. None. Nada. They do not impact buffs. They do not impact chance of success. Those slots in the recipe just need to be filled with an item of the appropriate type.

You'll find more information on item quality on the main EQ2TC site in the How To section ... here's a fast link to the item quality article: http://eq2.eqtraders.com/articles/article_page.php?article=g22&menustr=040000000000
