Hi all,
Decided to make masala a transmuter as he is lvl 70 prov and so should be able to take it all the way! Bloody hard though or what!! Firstly, gettting stuff to transmute. an adept 1 under lvl 10 is now 30g on splitpaw and there are almost no treasured items out there to buy either. Ive started a new toon on the Isle with the intention of farming treasured stuff.
Question: Do the adept 1 drops a toon gets match the toons level? Should i freeze my Isle toons xp?
Next, the adornment making thing is a bit confusing. As I am lvl 70 prov does this mean i can make lvl 70 adornments?
Thought it was funny that people are paying 30g to get an adept 1 so they can transmute and make an adornment that gives +1 str etc!! hehe! the worlds gone mad!

Masala,
The Adp1s that drop match the mob's teir, and generally has a tendency to be around the mob's level, but not necessarily equal to it.
Oh, and try doing the newbie quests, I get to skill 20 doing just newbie quests in GFay (already did the Qey and FP ones a long time ago, heh heh).

Masala,
You can certainly make the T7 adornments IF you can find the needed T7 transmutation products on the broker. This brings up the question: If there are multiple tinkerers (350), what is the highest transmuter and how would one know? I tried '/who transmuter all' and got no results.

Search the broker for legendary and fabled tier 7 adornments made by transmuters will find you some of the 325+ transmuters. Cross referincing with eq2players if they have the options available can tell you their skill.

Masala you are confusing obtaining materials with becoming a transmuter.
Becoming a top level Transmuter is easy!:)
To become a top level transmuter you need to skill up to 350. As I understand the SOE advice on this. You need to simply transmute 200 (50% chance of a skill up) items to skill up to 100 then build a further 500 items (50% chance of a skill up,if the items are white or better) to skill up to 350. Easy really. I doubt if you only made 500 items to become a level 70 Provisioner.
Of course you will need to make the raw materials to build the items but as transmuting itself is pretty quick that should not take too much time
So why is Masala finding it hard.
Getting the raw materials is hard.
You can only find the items by having a toon who is near the level of the time you want find them - as greyed out mobs don't drop transmutable loot. So either you can take a new toon and work him up gathering the raws (TREASURED or better items, but not NO TRADE or NO VALUE) or you can buy them , directly or indirectly off the markets. Lots of people are doing this, the price of all goods have gone up. So you need to be rich.
Did you say you were a Provisioner ? You're probably not rich! I think your easiest way is to start a new toon, gather the items you need as soon as possible and try to keep the Transmuter and the Adventurer in step.
You can make Tier 7 Items now:)
If you have "Enigma of the Provisioner volume 7" you can make Tier 7 items now by buying the relevent powders, fragments and infusions from the broker now. Indeed you can make all the Provisioner adornments this way - once again you have to buy the components. Unfortunately every other level 70 Crafter is buying as well.
Have Fun and Good Luck.

You can of course use NO TRADE items for breaking them up. You just can't give them to your Transmuter if you can't do it yourself. Just wanted to clear that ;)
