Tanned Leather Backpack?

Does this recipe not exist? I assumed it would be at level 11, but when I didn't get it I came here to look at the recipe lists. I can't find it anywhere.
What's up with that?

Well, I'm not an Outfitter, so take this with a grain of salt. :)

I believe that you'll get the backpack recipe at like level 12 or 13 after you get all of the intermediate recipes needed for it. Well, other than the buckles...those you'll probably need to get from a Scholar.

I would suggest looking for the next level of backpack 10 levels after the previous - so that would be 15.

Scholars seem to make buckles, yes. Don't look for a massive amount of logic here, necessarily (though I think it finally goes into jewelry, as a nod to the finer workmanship I guess), it's just a part of keeping everyone interdependent. :)

I believe they're at 15. There were late changes to the recipe lists (including adding packs to outfitter and to tailor that hadn't been there when we did the lists) that didn't make it onto our master lists, so will be things that are added as folks figure them out this time around. We sorta ran out of time in beta due to the launch being moved up, and a lot of changes happening late in the testing phase, so some things got missed when we were making our notes. :)

Tanned Backpacks do indeed come in the level 15 book.
Cured Backpacks are in the dropped 15 book.

Finally made a pristine after about 20 tries, and the stats are all the same as beta (FYI). Sure wish we had the bug/feature the armorers have for insta pristine...Slap, sorry, did I say that :)

Shaped is 7 slots
Tailored is 8 slots, 5% wght reduction
Pristine is 8 slots, 10% wght reduction

Still looking for an outfitter 11 book to try the rare. Assuming I find a pelt or 2.

The logic for buckls to scholars are: They are the jewelers... the jewelers work on making SMALL metal things, while the weaponsmith and armorer (outfitter) work on LARGE metal things.

Im a lev 15 outfitter i can can make the tanned backpacks cept for only one problem. How do you get the tanned leather cords? i have talked to scholars and crafters and they dont make them? I have search my recipies and the closest thing i can find is leather straps which dont work for the cord ingreadient. Can anyone help me with this?

they also get the 10 slot ones at 25... if there are higher slot bags than that I have no idea... but I am pretty sure there will be... even if they are on the rare side...

Actually... it is in the outfitters essentials volume 10.

It is just a level 9 recipe :/ (instead of the 10 or 11 it should be)

If you are filtering to only show 10+ recipes you will need to change your filter to maybe be book specific :)

It was added late beta and we jsut did not get it into our listing :)
