Merchant Prices and Availability

As to yet be sure of whether my own status or everyone's status in a society effects what the merchant inside sells, I'm going to try to monitor the merchant closely. There is only 4 people total in my society so far so many I can carry all of their weight if necessary. Let's hope not.

This is a good experiment, and it's worth watching, but don't necessarily believe the member numbers. That's known to be very buggy. :)

The prices will not change when status increases. (At least we do not expect it)

We do expect the inventory of the merchant to change as status changes.

Wanted to point out that I noticed the price on Distilled Water went up to 12c per...I think this happened last night, b/c I could have sworn they were 6c yesterday.

What instance are you seeing that increase? I haven't been in mine today, so I am not sure if they are increased. I just want to find out if everyone is having the same thing happen.

Yes, distilled water did have it's price increased. No idea why, since you can still but the aerated mineral water for 6c, and I haven't seen any recipies call for distilled water specifically.

Yesterday it was still 6c in my instance. The one in Graystone Yard, forget the name.

Ransackers Annex in Big Bend (Freeport) is 12cp for distilled water.
They may have changed that to counter some of the combines for cash people where doing.

I'm putting this little experiment on hold until societies are fixed due to the fact that I would continue loosing my status points trying to do the recipes.

Artisans can belong to the Wholesaler society, which sells books through level 9. Once you unlock scholar and ding 10, you need to join a second Scholar society. Here you will find the book for 10+. In Baubleshire, the wholesaler society is called the Deductive Directory and the scholar society is called the Scrivener something (sorry can't check in game atm). There is a list of all the societies around here someone where. Probably in the FAQ :p
