Is there a list somewhere of items that still don't line up properly with walls, ceilings, etc?
I have a Gukta Maple Shelf in my room that looks ok, but if I slide it over so that one of the brackets is in front of the door, I can tell that the shelf actually sinks a few units into the wall, hiding the nice plaque that should be visible behind the bracket, where the bracket meets the wall. The screenie in the gallery shows the sunken version :(
There's also the chandeliers, all of which seem to have issues with hanging off the beams vs. hanging off the ceiling itself... in some places they line up with the beams, and in others they sink to ceiling level through the beam.
Reading through the thread about shelves working/not working seemingly at random, I was wondering if there was a consolidated list of these things somewhere that was visible to the devs?

Don't forget one of the feyiron chandeliers... you know, the one that hangs about 1 foot off the ground ;)

I don't know if theres a full list, but please post them as you find them to the new bugs submissions/corrections thread so that they can get on the bug list... and hopefully they'll eventually be fixed.

i don't have kos, but finished the kos collection quest for the dragon bust. when i try placing it in my home, it does not show at all. basically, it seems the meshes aren't on my computer due to not having KOS... so, it's just sitting in my vault now ...

Yep.

Folks w/o KoS who try to view furnature for that will either not see it or all, or they might see just a wireframe of it (and not the texture).

I thought they'd fixed that, but I guess not. Post it in the bugs submissions thread so it can be looked into.

Mentioned also in the general forum buglist, but low-hanging chandeliers are for high-ceilinged Freeport apartments; they are not bugged.

Do you have a particular source on that Prrasha?

IMHO doesn't make much sense to design a piece of furnature for one style of room... its just as easy to use furnature to cause the chandalier to "hover" in mid-air (thats what I did in my qeynos 2room with the basic chandalier they give you... it connected too high for my tastes, so what you do is...

get a bunch of cheap little barrels. Stack them up from floor to celiing (all you need is 2: one to stack, one to move, and then move the bottom one on top, leap-frogging) or until the bottom one's bottom is at the level you would like the chandelier to connect to.

Place the chandelier (it treats the bottom of the barrel like its a ceiling), and then either remove the barrels to have the chandelier "float" (not that it matters, since the chain is relatively high so you don't usually see that high up) or you can do what I did in my room: leave enough barrels connected to each other to touch the room to make an actual support that hangs down.

<-source, re: steel hanging lantern and standard feyiron chandelier.

They really DID mean for them to be that low-hanging. I went through about a year of /bug reports on the steel one before I talked to Frizznik and found that it was intentional. On the plus side, the standard feyiron also works well when set up over a dining table.

The furniture art, and bugs with it, tend to be some of the roughest ones for us to get fixed ... which is why LU24 went out with the bugged sconce. They tend to get passed from dev to dev, stared at for a while, then stuck on the bottom of the art "to do" pile behind everything else that needs art assets.

To make matters much worse, some of the issues, such as rugs, are more a problem with inconsistencies in homes - too many of them have variance as to where the virtual 'wall', 'floor' and 'ceiling' are in comparison to where we *see* such items, causing things to anchor in weird spots, get eaten by some floors and walls, etc.

THEN, if that isn't enough, there is the issue that they, for some reason, are worried about what this art will do to the download time on Trial of the Isle - forget the fact that folks who are using the trial can't leave the island, so will not see this art, it needs to be packaged with it nonetheless. (I dunno ... some day I'll find the right person to ask, and see if there's a way around that.) Anyway, those concerns seem to make them unwilling to do a lot of the art tweaks that really *should* be done to homes and suchforth.

We/I had a contact on the Art team who was working on the furniture issues that are now relisted in the known bugs thread, but he disappeared from the SoE forums a couple months ago. :(
