If you want one of the April Fools rings for your room, be sure to hit up the docks in your home city ASAP and find the Gigglegibber Hunt Master. We're not sure how long he'll be around.
Buy the scavenger hunt list from him, accept the quest. Drool over the stats, then realize a) this is an April Fools event, b) the items that he wants, on a timer no less, are nonexistant.
Spoilers: Let the timer run out, then check your email. The resulting item ends up being a room item ... and it sinks into the floor when you place it.
Place it on top of an item, then move the item, if you want it properly(?) standing on the floor.
