Helpful Commands/Keystrokes?

Hello all,

I am the dreaded newbie with a question. Is there a command to close all the bags in your inventory at once, rather than clicking each individually? I'm trying to keep track of my inventory and maximize available bank & personal space by making backpacks so I'm constantly reorganizing.

Right now I'm still on IoR, with no intent to leave until my skills are maxxed and my bank is stuffed with backpacks filled with resources & books. I am officially obsessive compulsive.

The easiest way that I found to close all bags open is to type "ESC ESC ESC ESC ESC ESC". Maybe you can macro that, but I didn't try.

I heard in beta that there was a keyboard option to open close all bags via one keystroke. I've never personally looked into it, I'm sure it is still there.

Just go in to options (alt-O) and look for the keyboard options. Then either find out what it is set to, or set it to something you'll remember.

I found it :)

Options -> Controls -> Window Keys and at the bottom of the listing, as IF it were an afterthought, "Open/Close All Bags" .. both slots empty and need to be configured. I used the "\" key.

Thank you! Oh and pressing "escape" does work to close any window on top of the base interface.

I logged in just to rep bump your post, only to remember that you cannot rep bump here. heh. In any case, thank you for a very useful piece of information. That is probably my most used custom key now. If you are Unrest and need something an outfitter can make, send Dibbler a tell and I will thank you properly. :)

newly added in one of the patches this week was /togglebags. this command will open or close all bags.

A useful thing to do is bind it to your i key too so when you open your inventory, all your bags open too!

I also assigned \ to open just the bags, and alt+i for just my inventory.

Now if it only would open all my bank bags too :(

In my UI (unmodified) the default setting was already ALT-i for this.
