Due to the fact that recipes are provided in game, I think one of the main benefits the EQ2 website will be is knowing what item makes what. For example, I harvest a root from a root node. What the heck is that for?! It's painful (really painful) to go through each and every recipe to figure out what I can use it in. I eventually end up using it in the first one I see which has caused me to end up with something I don't want/need. If this information is provided here (much like the "Find recipes that use this item" link in EQ Traders Corner) I think will be most beneficial.
Just my 2cp.

Hi
That *will* indeed be useful, although there are certain intuitive patterns you will get used to. Also, you really don't need to do many recipies to improve into your teens and once you are there you are narrowed down to a third of the field, at least, and then into your 20s you get down to 1/9 of the total, at which stage things are a lot more obvious.
I recommend concentrating on one particular area (even if not your final, though it's good to get a feel for the patterns of how items are crafted, as they repeat on a 10 level cycle) in the early going. Harvest wood and make furniture type stuff, or ore and make weapons, or skins and backpacks (always a good starting point, in terms of selling something early). Otherwise, filling your bags with a pile of random stuff then trying to find something you can make is incredibly frustrating.

Marishka,
EQ2 was launched earlier in the month than we expected it to be, so poor Ngreth isn't done beating the database coding into submission. There's enough different from the EQ data that it needs some recoding before we can use it here.
A searchable database of items, resources and recipes IS in the works, it's just going to take a bit longer.
We're getting there. :)

Just want to let you know that I (and probably everyone else) very much appreciate all that you and the House Ogre do for the Traders Corners. I know you guys are working hard. I look forward to helping you as much as possible :)
