View Full Version : tailor advanced volume 40?

Hi folks,

I've been searching for the lvl 40 Advanced Tailor Volume book for quite some time now (on AB) and haven't seen one for sale in either Qeynos, my home town, nor via the Freeport blackmarket seller.

I'm finding it hard to believe that this volume just doesn't simply exist - but since there are nearly 5-6 of each other type available, my question is - does it exist and I'm just not lucky finding a copy, or am I truly searching in vain because it doesn't exist?

I don't think any advanced tailor x0 books exist. (20, 30, and 40) All of the refines are in the x1 volumes. I have every advanced tailor book except those 3, and it doesn't appear that any recipes are missing.

This an old question going back to nearly the beginning. There are no lvl X0 books Advanced or common.

Although you now see a ghosted out common X0 book now on the wholesaler. Makes me wonder what is going on.

Some people sell common x0 books thinking that people will (and they probably do) buy them before noticing that they're just the common books.

THere is a "Secrets of the Tailor Volume 40" book. It contains 4 recipes only. They are for Velvet Blouse and Pantaloons and Reinforced Tunic and Pants. These require a T5 rare (Figwart or Superb Pelt) and a Yew Priming which is a level 54 Epic x4 rare drop. The armor that is made is not easy to make, I beleive that you have to use a special loom that is not easy to get to nor is it easy to make the item. I have the book but I have never seen a Yew Priming. Though I don't go out killing leel 54 Epic x 4 mobs either....

Dunno what your talking about but I'm drooling slightly. :D

The loom is probably in some raid instance. Similar to the Wyrm weapons is my assumption.

I bought Advanced Tailor Volume 40 today (May 29th, '06) on Blackburrow. At least we know they're out there. :)

I still can't find volume 29 and 30, though. Go figure hehe.

Edit: I just got Advanced Jeweler volume 30 as well so the X0 books do indeed exist.

It seems some more advanced books were added later in the game. I know many of the advanced tailor x0 books didn't exist when I made my post. And a check on the item database at eq2players shows that Advanced Tailor Volume 40 was just discovered earlier this year on February 2nd, 2006.

Edit: I just got Advanced Jeweler volume 30 as well so the X0 books do indeed exist.
Scholars and craftsmen always had advanced x0 books, just not outfitters.

I know for sure there is no 30, but there is a 50.

There WILL be 30, 40, etc on some of these, including tailor, starting tomorrow.

Aye indeed, both of those exist post-LU24, I believe I posted links of the recipe books in the Database Update section.

I'm guessing that these are going to be pretty expensive for a while, as everyone tries to catch up with the books they didn't have / need before. Demand is going to far exceed supply until everyone gets caught up, so it'll be a seller's market.

I found Advanced Tailor 30 a few days ago. The ones I haven't seen on the brokers (light or dark) on Lucin D'ler server forever are Advanced Tailor 28, 29, or 35, 36.

All of those were around pre LU24 so you've just been very unlucky. =/
