I'm a 22 tailor, but I made it bascially only making bags.. I now want to learn to make other stuff, like armor, but I'm kinda confused on where to get patterns for. I looked on the everfrost broker last night, but only 1 pattern was on the broker... I'm just wondering where the rest of you get your patterns. What class makes them, sages?
Thanks for the help.
I've also noticed, that at level 21 I was making pristine stretches of boiled leater about 80% of the time, without even really trying. I leveled to 22, and my pristine rate dropped to like 30%.. Is it some kind of cruel joke against me by SOE? that blue recipe gives me less pristine than a white does?

I notice that a lot too, but it's PROBABLY just coincidental.. one of those remembering the bad runs but forgetting the good ones thing.
Patterns are made by either sages or weaving - although in my limited experience not a lot of people make them 'cuz they're a pain in the butt. The only sub I hate more than Patterns is Ink.
I would recommend if you're having difficulty finding patterns you should get weaving and work up from there.

Kieroth is right, you just won't find patterns on the broker. Now that everyone can make them, there are just too few people buying them, so sages have stopped selling them. Also I'll add in my perennial complaint that if you are doing writs or society tasks, it is actually better for you to use the weaving skills than to let a sage make the patterns.
It's also worth noting that the pattern uses thread and paper as subcomponents. The thread is also created using weaving, but the paper is created using timbercraft.

I've actually noticed this too. After dinging a new level, I usually endure a couple of bad "runs" before stabilizing. I thought I was just imagining things too, but after reading 2 other people seeing similar things, I'm starting to wonder.
