When pulling up an item for example you do a search for Soapweed Oil, why cant you see not only how to make it but a link that cross references to what it makes? Just wondering why and/or if I am doing something wrong.
Thanks for the info :)

Beneath it, click "Find recipes that use this item" in the search page to find a list of recipes which use the item =)

Ie: search : Fig
find fig then hit items used in
ie: fig wash
that wont show what items the fig wash is used in. Not without doing a brand new search for Fig Wash

Ah, I understand you now.
And no, theres no function for what you mean... the "find recipes this is used in" search is different from the regular search...
However, if you click the actual item (next to the recipe... says "makes <itemname>"), in your example, say Shaped Fig Wash, it'll take you to a page where you can see what recipes its used in (under the heading "This item is used in the following recipes").

Also. there is a difference between a "Recipie" and an "Item"
Do your search on fig.
then when you look at what fig is used in (link (http://www.eq2.eqtraders.com/search/reverse_recipe_search.php?item=3779&menustr=035000000000))
If you click on "fig wash" you get the RECIPE to make fig wash (you can see in the title bar "recipe". then the recipe itself does not know which of the 4 posible items it makes you want to look at, so does not have a link. I could ad a link to a default one (probably shaped).
But if back to the original what is fig used in... (link (http://www.eq2.eqtraders.com/search/reverse_recipe_search.php?item=3779&menustr=035000000000))
if you instead click on "shaped fig wash (http://www.eq2.eqtraders.com/items/show_item.php?item=2511)" you get the page you were looking for because you are looking at an ITEM (see the titlebar again)
The hard part here is recipies are not used in recipies, but items are... and it is dificult to be distinct with the fact that in EQ2 you have 4 item results from one recipe... which confuses a DB. The DB does not know which one you want. I can force it to make an assumption... and it may be better to do so, but then there is the adition confustion of... "Hey Wait... I have Pristine Fig Wasdh, not Shaped Fig wash... what can I do with Pristine!? " (The answer is the same thing... but... that will not stop the questions)
