cedar rare and status points?

Does anyone know the status value of the rare t5 furniture?

heehee.. yeah. I'm over 20K status in my QH room now in large part from t5 furniture. That 500 a piece adds up pretty quick. I don't have to pay any weekly status now, which is nice.

Thx, do you know if stuff made of ebon has more? or do you have any idead why it costs twice as much as cedar on the market?

I cannot say from personal experience, but for previous tiers the points are by tier and not by the material. As for the expense, ebon is used in armor so there is high demand for it by the tanks L40+. In previous tiers many people don't want to waste the money because they will be replacing the armor eventually and consider the expense a waste. But for L40+ it is some of the best armor in the game and could easily last a person until the expansion.
It is also used in a heritage quest, which always drives up prices.

the Condition of the item has an effect on the Status bonus it carries.

pristine oak item = 300 status
regular oak item = 250 status

pristine steel is less points than pristine fir (both tier 3)
but the difference was like 10 points or something. dunno, most people put stuff in their room to make it look good, not because of Status. seems silly to drop a few plat in rares to save a thousand or two on status, when you can easily get the status doing only one writ.

For the begining rooms sure. But when you consider the 5 room house has an upkeep of 204K a week, you are looking at 40-50+ writs a week just to pay upkeep.

Add to what Alavenya said... if you move into a 2 room deal and can get your Status cost down to nothing then you are saving the status points you do earn for the next upgrade.
