Cured leather

Anyone have any idea how to find the recipe to make the cured leather - i have the book to make the armor itself but it requires that i use cured leather which i have no clue how to get - that big backpack looks mighty lovely :)

From there it looks like you need Advanced Outfitter Refining Volume 11 which is drop only.

Ok so i got the first book and have all the recipes to make the cured leather and such, but it seems to need different ingredients then normal - like non sullied average pelts - Are these the elusive rares ive been hearing about? and if so how the heck do i get them :)

Yes they are very rare indeed. I've never gotten 1 rare in all the harvesting I've done. You may have better luck checking the brokers to buy what you're looking for.

Are the non sullied hides more likely to show up in a den that you harvest, or off a mob that you kill and skin?

I have never seen one in a mob drop. Gotten a very few from dens

I have gotten them from mobs in Beta... but never in a den... so... who knows .lol

The mobs in live now drop average pelts, ive reported deer and bears droping them
