Linen portrait and rug

I made one of each of these last night. I'll have to see about posting pics, but I wanted to warn people --

Don't make the portrait. It was very disappointing, looking very similar to the tier 1 rare sackcloth portrait.

The rug was quite nice. The colors are fairly dark and subtle, but rich. The pattern was nice. At first I was a little underwhelmed, but the more I looked at it, the more I liked it.

I've given up on rare portraits at this point. I like painting rich with color, not the charcoal outlines they currently have. Hell, I'll even settle for a bunch of "happy trees" or something like that.

We've got pics of both linen rugs on the main site already, but I'd love to see the portrait. Given that *all* the other portraits have been the same style/theme, I wasn't expecting anything ground-shaking from it. :)

Most of these look like etchings or sketches... Good for a pickup line but not so good for decorating one's home IMHO...

I would LOVE to see the ability to make paintings Much more like the ones you see in the store or can buy off the City Merchants.

I have become more tolerant of these paintings now that I realize they are portraits (sketches, reallly) of the people from the Tier 5 "rough linen portrait". The one I just posted is the third person from the left. The one I posted the other day is the fifth. Now I'm going to go back and make all the rare portraits and assemble a kind of portrait gallery, anchored by the big portrait.
