Hello there.

Had a quick question for you guys. I have just started alchemy and have been grinding away and just got to level 12. I am having a tough time selling things to players to try to make more money then to what I would sell to a vendor. In your opinion what is the most common thing bought by players (aka easist to sell via broker). Something that will make a decent profit and still give good exp. I am not looking for a crazy amount of money just something that would sell well and still give a little more then the vendor. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :D

Your problem is that as a T2 alchemist, your most commonly needed items are sold by the vendors in the lvl 10+ wholesale societies. Wash/Oil/Resin/Tempers. Of course if your server doesnt have any lvl 10 socities then you can sell WORT's

You could always do inks. Problem is they are a complete nightmare to make. However if you grind out a couple of hundred that should get you a few lvls closer to T3 and you can then start makeing Essences for fighter skills. With a little research you can work out which ones are not commonly available as adept1 and you can focus on those.

Hmm I would have to say selling app 4 spells, essences, and runes. You can try to sell the washes/resins/oil/tempers but with some of the societys at level 10 most people can buy them for 24c each. You really wont find a steady selling item until level 20 when you can make the tier 3 washes/resins/oil/tempers. I would just try to level out of 10-19 as fast as possible. But then again if you really want to try to make some money try for the app 4 stuff

Alright, well I will grind it out to 20 and make some cash then. I find it interesting that no one in my particular society uses the auction channel. There will be 30-50 people in the zone doing trades and not a single auction. I was thinking maybe I should try to sell my stacks and stacks of pristine oils tempers etc that way. At any rate, thanks for the advice.

I sold a lot of AppIII (were no AppVIs then). Typical day I would make 1 stack of inks, make App3s within 2 to 3 levels of me, and usually get like 1 level a day by the time was all finished. They sold rather fast at 20s each, but each severs market will vary.

Make sure if you want to get the most XP, you make 1 App4 of everything for discovery XP.

Priest Scrolls sell really really well on my server. Generally there are never any on the market. I made 1g the other day off 3 T2 Priest Scrolls. I was only going to charge him 60s for the 3, but he wanted to pay 1g and I wasn't going to argue over making more money.

Once you hit 20, you can make all the cash you want. WORTs sell like crazy. I could have sold 10 stacks of temper last night if I'd had any available -- in two sales. (Two guys wanted 100 tempers each, but I didn't have remotely near that many.)

You can probably get 2 silver per WORT if you watch the market and make what sells. That translates into 8 silver per combine, if you get pristine. Even if you have to buy belladonna, gold and agate for 2silver each (which would be kinda high), you still make nice cash.

So as the others have said -- don't try to make money right now. Just get through the teens as quickly as you can.

If you want to get to the teens AND make some money, make WORTs and sell them back to the wholesaler.

Also, do writs (if you are in a guild) and workshop tasks. They often take you up a level per task early, and more than half a level later on.

Not the most fun, but eye on the prize, you know? :)

I ended up making stax and stax of tier 2 worts. Sold almost every single one to players by being on all night. Was kind of surprised. Some sold for 49c others for 29c (crushbone qeynos).

Hm, let's see. The broker is up on the top floor. The wholesaler is on the bottom floor, where all the crafting stations are.

I'm guessing you craft in your room, then. ;)

Or he could be evil, where the brokers are on the bottom of 5 floors (rather than the 1 floor good side) and the wholesaler is all the way at the top...

Shouldn't this be in the Scholar section?

10-19 you are a scholar.

Maybe he just doesn't like the workbench or the engraving table. We can call him a protoalchemist. ;)
