House Customizations

I just recently upgraded from a humble 1 room home to a Luxury 2 room home in Qeynos Harbor. With it, I found alot more options for customizations for the floors, walls, and ceiling. After fiddling around, I came up with this combo:

Ceiling - Opulent Elddar
Upper Walls - Opulent Elddar
Lower Walls - Affluent Elddar
Flooring - Extravagant Elddar

Am I on the right track or do I need to make some changes anywhere? Looking for some advice from other 2 room owners who have played around with the customizations and can give me pointers. Screen shot of what it looks like is at the end of this.

it is a thing that you feel it correct.. if yo liek the way it looks... the go with it...

I like the linen texture feel of the upper walls and the parquet flooring. The lower wall shoul give some nice contrast to the furnishings you will have in front of it too. Two thumbs up =)

That's the typical setup I've been seeing in about every QH apartment I visit on Crushbone, so i'm guessing it's the popular choice -- that's my setup too, actually. So yeah, it's the popular choice, and I don't see any changes you need to make to keep up with the Jonses, lol.

Is there a way to preview the upgrade changes without having to spend the cash?

At some point down the line, possibly. Right now, there's too much else on our plate to track down, upload, maintain, etc. pictures from all the different room types and all the different customization types for both cities .. especially since there's a LOT of variance (NQ 2-room apts don't have all the same options as QH 2-rooms, etc.)

The other option would be for someone to put together such a gallery and I link to it. ;)

I just blew 5gold last night adding some stuff to my little e1 bedroom place. A little bed, table, bench, bookshelf, wall torches, standing torch, some chairs, and granite floors, upper, and lower walls. I'm going to have to craft a few things to make it a little more homey.

Well, since there aren't any Shoji in game, I've decided to turn my one room studio into several seperated areas including my little storefront, using Maple Bookshelves. If you're on Steamfont, come check it out and see it as it evolves.

I did all freeport in beta and started EQ2live that way, i recently decided to switch to the good side (ugh the sugar, its killing me, no shouted insults as i walk down the streets) and i was totally disappointed that my cool granite upgrades in freeport turn in the cheap ugly grey wood in qeynos. boo says I.

One of my beta characters was a Qeynosian. Every time I went anywhere in the city, I wanted to kill something or somebody after hearing a half dozen or so people telling what a wonderful day it was. Grrrrrr. I think it would be better now that there's an option to only hear a given voiceover once. And Freeport is getting almost as bad. There's now a guy in Longshadow who keeps telling me its a wonderful day for evil to fluorish. But at least there's only one. :)
