Go through your recipe book, examine the recipe and right click the icon in explanation. That will give you a description of the potion or poison that will be made.

This will be recipes from the dropped 20-29 alchie books. You can set the filter to only display final products from the Advanced Alchemist books. Then examine the recipe and right click the icon in explanation. then just repeat till you find the one you are looking for.

I tested the tier 5 power regen potions and I was NOT impressed.
Elixir of Clarity - barely any noticable difference.
There was another I tested that again, had barely any difference.
I sold all my potions to the vendor. The damage shield ones are okay, but the power regen potions - worthless. I downed one in battle and it didn't even give me enough to cast a heal. I downed one out of battle and my mana seemed to tic up as usual with my superior drink...
Bah.

Thats because these are REGEN potions they are not instant mana heals. if the other tiers are the same as tier 2 theres 1 potion that increases your base regen for 15mins and one potion that gives you an extra regen ~ every 4 secs lasting for 30 sec.

Except I didn't see any difference from my usual power regen.
If I'm blowing 2gold for a potion - which is what it costs in COSTS to make tier 5 stuff, it better do something fantastic.

It's also based on your level. A tier 5 potion gives the maximum benefit to a level 40 character i believe (200 potion skill). Sure the potions still suck but its better to test on someone who gets the maximum benefit of the potion :D

The potion is yellow to me, and I'm level 34, and it still does nothing to write home about. So it's not a level issue.

Potions are yellow to me and I'm level 26 :)
but if you read the description the mastery for a tier 5 potion is 200 skills.
which is level 40. And yes I've tested it out to confirm it :)
not the pow regen but other potions like heals and buffs
The potions had better effect on the lvl 42 dude than it did on me.
a tier 5 is supposed to be used at all the other tier 5 stuff (40-49)
and so you went get the same benefit if you are lower

All regens, whether based on food, spell or item, are capped at a point by your level range.
T1 = x/tick
T2 = y/tick
etc.
For a 34 it's whatever T4 max is, it is. Tesst by using the T4, which is 'as good as it gets for you' and a T3, which is ok... but not max benefit. If you want to blow another T5, go ahead, but you'll only see the same as the T4, because at 34 you can only get so much per tick regen.
For accuracy, /stopeating and /stopdrinking before trying thetests, food/drink may skew the results.
