water+raw(carbonite, agate, or gold cluster)+candle=neolith temper:)

alchemists make it, if they harvest pristines..cost 3cp each, non pristines 4cp..

good luck:)

5 to 10 silver for a neolith is far too much. On Permafrost I sell neolith for 2 silver each. It's not uncommon for tradeskillers to charge 1 silver 50 copper each.

Tradeskillers who charge under 2 silver are doing you a favor, as it sells for 2 silver to the vendor.

I charge 3-4 silver when I'm in merchant mode, but only 2.5 silver when done on commission.

Any level 20 alchemist can make neolith temper and thylakoid resin.

Befriend a alchemist. Best advice I can give you. If you are 20-25 carpenter, go and search for a lvl 20 alchemist. If you are a more serious crafter, tell them you'll be ordering everyday or every other day. Before, I order from my personal alchemist 500 resins, 500 neos every 1-2 days. I gathered the materials for them, and that alone cuts down the price from avg broker price of 2.5sp to 75cp-1sp each only. Low level alchemist will love you, and you'll love them too. You benefit from constant supply and low costs, and they benefit from being able to fly through the levels without having to harvest. Try it, you won't regret it.

I do the same thing as you Vicy, I've found that a lot of other crafters, are willing to trade furniture in return for their product, I typically trade furniture for resins, tempers, oils, washes and here lately planed lumber. Usually order about 5-600 wait a day or two then have the order.

Who are you selling to? I have yet to see a vendor offer me any more than 67c for a neolith.

LOL omg i never bothered to check the price against a vendor, ive been battling others on the broker and setting the price at about 1.5, sometimes even lower, i wonder if they ever bothered to sell to vendor either, geeze we are stupid

All resins needed to build Maple Strong Boxes can be purchased from the level 1 to 10 Wholesaler(that is the first one you joined when you started tradeskilling) for 24 Copper. These are not offered in the higher tradeskill instance. I noticed the exact same chemicals on the trader for 50 copper to 1 Silver. Why would anyone buy from the trader if you can get it from the wholeseller for a fraction of the cost.

Thanks to those of you who have answered the questions I needed to know. I need neolith tempers for the Ash boxes not the maple ones. Of course the product for the maple ones can be purchased on the tier one societies because those were lvld up during the task exploit. However the stuff needed for tier 3 products can not be used. Once again thanks for the information. One other question now. What is the going rate for the Ash strong boxes on other servers? On mistmoore the ash goes for around 1g to 1.5g Just curious on the others.

Ash Strong boxes are hard as hell to find on market on Lavastorm. The few times I did see them they wanted like 3+g. Most T3 stuff goes for 50s-1.5g. I personally would pay 1-1.5g each for an Ash Strong Box. That would be a reasonable price IMHO. Becuase they are in such high demand, this leads me to beleive why I never see them for sale. Heck, even my wife can sell out of Maple StrongBoxes in 10-15 minutes when she puts them up for sale at 40s each.

Neolith/Thylakoids on Lavastorm goes for 1.5-2s each, just for referance. Being an Alchi I never sell for more then 2s each, but competition is starting to drive the price down to the 1.5s/each range.

I did find a 12 slot backpack for 80s once! Think they ment to put it up for sale for 8g but mis-priced it. Love that bag though lol.

I charged 1 gold for my ash boxes (Permafrost). Those greedy money grubbers in Qeynos charge up to 2 or 2.5 gold. Even if you have to buy ash, carbonite, tempers, and resins, it's hard to imagine your costs being over 25 or 30s per box. IMO, 2g is price gouging.

I charge 2g for my briarwood boxes. I do buy everything at that tier (I'm too low level to forage T4 zones), and my out of pocket costs for briarwood boxes is less than 50 silver.

Note that I didn't even look at other people's prices when I set mine (there wasn't anyone else in Freeport; I had a complete monopoly). I decided what it was worth to me to make a box, and I sold the boxes for that much (1 gold for ash, 2 for briarwood).

I've sold over 1,000 ash and briarwood strongboxes (mostly briarwood at this point). I get people I don't know stop me and tell me how much they like my boxes and how much they appreciate the price. I even run boxes to Qeynos to sell sometimes. My wife tells me I don't charge enough. But I have 7pp and enough material in the bank to make around 400 teak boxes when I ding 45 (I'm 44). I'm satisfied with the money I've made, and I feel good about what I do. It doesn't get any better than that, IMO. :)
