High end rare jewelry --

What are the stats like on the rhodium or ruby jewelry pieces in tier 5? Is it worth it at this tier?

I am curious to test the rhodium bangle recipe I just got, and wanted to check before I went through with it.

well not Tier 5 yet but working towards it. personally I think a rare used on jewelry is kinda unwise. Adept III skills/spells would be much better investment than a ring or band. heck there are drops just as good anyway.

I'm pretty sure there are not drops that are just as good. Just because there are drops called a ruby ring and ruby is a rare doesn't mean the drops have the same stats as rare crafted.

But you'll definitely be losing money making a Rhodium bangle or ring instead of an Adept 3 or just selling the rare.

I have been wondering how to do the feedback reply.
IMHO rare jewelry (heck all rare made items) should have some larger benefit. What about adding a spell to that palladium ring, maybe FT1. That would make the rare items being harvested actually usable by all classes, not just alches and sages.

I agree there are benefits to having an adept III spell, i have several myself, but I would pay good money for a FT2 or 3 item. Even if it were rare.

Perhaps we all should petition SOE on this subject, although I suspect that Den mum (and company) has already done so they are usually on top of things like that.

FWIW, I inspected a 50 Mystic last night on the AB server, and he was wearing two Ruby Rings. Can't remember the stats but it was +5 to +8 as well as higher resits. I know there was a strength and an agility, being a troubadour I look for those ones. So there is value to rare jewellery. He sported a really nice purple robe too.

I can almost 100% guarantee those were drops, not rare crafted jewelry.

According to eq2players - noone has done this ring yet. Guess every ruby goes to Adept3 :(

You can not make rare rings out of gemstones which is pretty stupid if you ask me. I have made a bracelet out of a ruby, and I have made a ring out of a rhodium. Here are links to the stats, they are better then drops 40+ but not as good as some of the really high quested items which are WAY better then anything I expected to make anyways.

I saw this now myself - no rings for rare gems Tier3 and up :(
I think they just forgot to include them, perhaps something to report?
