alluring bone table, charming bone table..same grahpic..

most bone chairs you can just buy cultral chairs with same graphic for few silver pieces....

fir trophy box..just a box with skulls you can buy from inn keeper for few silver..

with soe would've just put a lil bit of care to make items a little bit more unique..thus far only beds and bone office desk seems unique..

and how many gold pieces do carpenters shell out to buy these rare harvests..

I feel your pain! I think it is a CRIME that any non carpenter item has the same graphic as a rare item that is purchaseable. I would love to see all graphics associated with rares AND commons be unique and only purchaseable through a player.

What I am wondering about the rare furniture is, does it affect the prestige more then the normal items and the vender items. I think it would have been cool if the bone items looked more like bone.. but honestly I want the rare items to help out on the cost of prestige, could care less on how they look.

Im not a carpenter(Woodworker), but i am a big fan of cool looking furniture. Before the "big patch" I saw some bone furniture in Stormhold, in the caves at the lowest level, where the named troll spawns. Thats what i thought it would look like, it looks unique, and amazing. I wonder why they would create such an object and not use it for the rare bone furniture. I took some screens of it while i was down there, but im at work now and cant post them. Maybe i can post them when i get off work.

and btw, i have about 3 stacks of severed bone in the bank

....i think for carpentry, we lvl because we want to see what an item looks like next..as another carpenter pointed out..it's leveling and opening the bood:) guessing what the item looks like..running home fast as you can~ so you can right click~ place! and goggle:)

also, the look of an item changes our price considerably..it's not the same orange blue blue blue liquid every 10 lvls:)

as large and anticipation was..disappoint is just as large:(

Just something that popped into my head...

In EQ, later in the game, some new items were named after players. The main one that comes to mind was Xanthe's earring, from the PotC quest. Xanthe was the first person to finish the quest.

I'd think that if people submitted design ideas for furniture, it'd be really neat if Sony would name them after the character that submitted them, like "Elyana's fine ash sideboard", or something. Though I'd shudder to see one named "Poopoohead's briarwood bucket." Though that one might have a market with trolls...

Actually, while it's hard to it in the pics I threw up in the furniture section to get "something" in there, there are minor differences in the two tables. The alluring has scallops along the top back of it, the table edge is different, and the legs are sculpted differently. Not huge differences, mind you, but some.

I agree that it's depressing to not see bone looks to these, but they still help flesh out the furniture offerings, with a "desk" that looks like it'd make a good dresser, a few tables that look like they'd make good desks (the elegant bone makes me think of a drafting table), a neat-looking bed, a funky looking bookcase, a great-looking rug, some interesting chairs (including a rocking chair for 'Mum if I ever remake her), another painting for some variety, a sconce that looks phenomenal, a chest I could do without ;) ... and the requisite placement-bugged shelf.

Given that these are only tier 2 rares, and normal stuff doesn't start getting truly elaborate until tier 4, they're about what I expected.

No I can understand what you mean, I really did with the bone items looked like bone *shrug* Oh well maybe in the next big patch :D

My wife made my bone desk and rocking chair. She was threatening on stealing the stuff if I did not put them in my room right after she made them.
