Ok, I have an odd issue with the EQ Traders boards. Let's say I'm looking at a list of threads in one of the message areas, and I'm about halfway down the page. Then I click on a thread, read it, and hit back. When I go back, it pops me to the top of the page every time, instead of remembering where in the page I was. The same thing happens if you hit refresh while browsing a forum listing. In fact, if I hit refresh while on any page of the forums (including within a thread), this happens.

Now I know Firefox has had problems like this in the past, most notably with ebay. But it turned out to be the fault of some ad javascript that wasn't quite proper to begin with. You could work around it with some creative Adblock filters and in recent releases, they integrated the "fix". Since then, I've not run into this problem on any site except this one.

I've disabled javascript (and java as well just for the heck of it) and the problem persists. Furthermore, I use a lot of vbulletin boards, and some of them are even the same version (3.0.1) None of them exhibit this behavior. I've fiddled around with adblock trying to remove various bits of content, but I can't get the problem to go away. Any guesses as to what is causing this?

Also, are other Firefox or Mozilla users experiencing this problem, or am I just one of the lucky chosen ones?

For me, using back also returns me to the top of the page. I use Firefox 1.0. I've gotten used to it, it doesn't really bother me that much anymore.
