20% higher damage and much higher stats than the Pristine Forged Carbonite as you can see. Attunable which answers some of my questions about rares. They will not be flooding the market ever as is the case on my server with steel weapon drops right now.

Those are nice, arent' they? I've made a couple myself.

One question I have: Are the blackened iron ingots good for anything? I've seen them on brokers for like 50 silver, but have yet to sell one. They don't stake and are annoying, but I hate to destroy them if they have value.

they can be used to make weapons and armor but i wouldn't pay 50s since i don't think it's worth it unless ya plan to stay under lvl 20 for a few eeks or a month.

those stilletos are sweet, i've made a few of them myself. all the steel weapons we make are nice :D

Blackened iron *ingots* are not the same as blackened iron clusters, but are a by-product of making a steel bar from a blackened iron cluster. (The same thing happens in steel and in bronze, possibly other rare metals, too.)

There doesn't seem to be any use, whatsoever, for the ingots, though I tried for a good 20 minutes one night to find a recipe that would take them.

The fact that they don't stack, on top of it all, makes it beyond annoying to try to save some as a "just in case", since you get three of them back per bar.

Have the stats for this stiletto been submitted over to the database forum so it'll get into the database? It helps a lot if you drop stats over there when making new stuff that's not already in the db, as our data entry volunteers really don't have the time to chase around the forums looking for new goodies. :)

Done. Im interested on the stats of the other steel weapons if anyone cares to post. Ive got people asking what the stats would be and I cannot tell them (till they are made) because they havent been posted anywhere. Thanks!

Actually, you get 4 if you make a pristine bar -- at least for blackened iron -- I made one for a friend the other day. Not sure if you get fewer for a lower quality bar or not.

You get one ingot per level of quality on the final bar. I had made a steel bar and only got 3 ingots. All the other steel bars I have made are pristine and I got 4 ingots from them all (as well as 4 from the 2 bronze and 2 Blackened Iron I have made pristine too).

That steel bar got turned into a Pristine forged Vanguard Cuirass so it was not a loss. Goit to love the tier three plate bug.
