Hi all

Can someone please let me in on what the fix was that solved the feyiron bug? Last I looked (and we haven't patched since) my recipie book was still bugged. But that's the 29 essentials. Are there other recipies in the 30 essentials I need to get or what? Information would be appreciated. Thanks.

Forgive me for not being a great enthousiast about it..

Not too many servers have 30+ carpenters yet but they do have the recipe for Feyiron Plates. Unfortunately, similar to our feyiron bars their plate making skill caps out at level 19 so they will have troubles making pristines. I can confirm in making gloves that Feyiron plates are not bugged like Carbonite plates were. Pristine plates = pristine armor

Ah, that would explain the workarounds I've been seeing, as well as the lack of pristine quality stuff out there.

If this is the only source for tier four armor-crafting at the moment, I hope you'll all excuse me if I go adventure for a while. :)

Thanks for the information!

If the only source for Feyiron plates is CARPENTERS I really have to ask who the hell was in charge of making the armorsmith?

This sort of stuff is just basic oversights. I cannot imagine why these recipe issues have not been taken care if already. In theory it should simply be a matter of fixing some bad data in the database (although I am not a programmer so I could be totally wrong).

I am a programmer, although not for this game. I can say that the way bugs are handed out is not on how quick it would be to fix but rather from a list of bugs numbered and probably ordered by the time it was first confirmed as a bug and rated per severity of the problem.

This bug should be rated fairly high as far as severity but it will be lower than any equally severe bugs that were found earlier in the game. When a programmer needs a new task he goes to the team lead for an assignment and if they are handing out bugs he gets one off the stack. They may get a bug that will take a week or so to fix that is right before a database relation change that would only take minutes. They don't know what is coming next, they just hand out the work as developers free up time. Then once they find a fix and implement it they have to test it on the development side then submit it to become part of the next build (or patch).

So while to us its a very obvious problem that we know about the developers just do what is handed to them and probably have no idea how far down the list of bugs it is. They will get to it eventually.

The part that impresses me is that on some servers they have armorers who have punched through tier four anyway, and are pushing into tier five. Now that's impressive. Scarey, but impressive.

Not so difficult to push thorough teir 4.. i mean, ppl who already have like lvl +30 alchemist (i myself is pretty close to it).. leveling up a carpenter to get plates easily and in aboundance is nothing that would stop this kind of personality. I mean if they already have an alchemist alt just to supply the huge numbers of tempers that are needed.. another alt for another component is not that much of a push-over.

But i will adventure myself now that i have reached lvl 29 (could probably get alot higher also.. but i want to be able to wear my own armor + harvest my own nodes. Hard when im still only lvl 24 SK =P

Hi, first post here, I posted that message a while ago and unfortunately it still holds true. I am just praying for a fix to come asap (tho I fear I may be t5 by then)
