So I finally harvest a coral. Now I can't decide what to do with it!!

Sell, make Adept3 for myself (Warrior) or wife (Druid), or make nice jewerly for my wife (and later passed to alts).

It's so rare, I almost want to just pet it, and hug it, and call it George!

About the jewelry, I believe all "rare" made wares are attuneable, so no passing it on. Sorry.

If I harvested the mythical coral I would make me a adpt 3 spell or sell it. I don't think I would make a rune for my wife. Its not that I am greedy or anything like that. But it seems to me that melee runes or essences are not that important then a really nice weapon for them.
You could sell it and buy some equipment *shrug*

Hehe to bad you could not place the coral on a table or frame it and put it in your apartment or something like that

Thinking an Adept3 Heal spell might be worth it <shrug>.

Oh well, I'll just call it my "precious" and stroke it till I figure it out!

Yea that would be good. Think an adpt 3 heal would help for a long time. even as a nice stand by if it ever went grey

Can't you make attuneable jewelry and pass it on? I thought it only becomes no-trade, if you wear it.

You can. it is only once you "Attune" something it becomes "No Trade".

That is what Aus was refering to with his reply.

As a young Druid finding a silver, I decided to go the Adept route. A guild-mate made the spell for me, and kept the loam instead of charging for the other ingredients and time.

I thought about an Adept III heal, but Druid and later Fury/Warden heals come and go fairly quickly. Instead, I now have the most punishing Nettleshield around. Replacements for the damage shields don't come around very often, and if I can make something pay for hitting me or a group-mate, I want to make them PAY.

As a 23 Fury, I had found a coral for a reasonable price (Back at level 18 or so) and my scholar alt made a Regrowth upgrade. The 20+ subclass upgrade for Regrowth doesn't start to be better than regrowth until the late 20s, so I have gotten a lot of wear out of regrowth, and would have gotten even more, until I accidentally took the advanced training option that turned out to make this obselete.

My main suggestion would be to make sure you're not upgrading something that can be fixed up for free via training, or even more so, that you had already "trained". The spell cast timers on the same line spells (specifically the same as the training ones) are intentionally linked.

Just as a reference. A friend of mine picked up a piece of Coral and made Blaze Adept III for another friend. He went from doing 80dmg (App III) to 120dmg (Adp III) with this upgrade. That's a pretty big jump.

I found some silver one day and decided to make myself an adept 3. I chose Ego Shock, as it was my highest DD. At 17 I'm still doing about 80 damage with it, which is nice since it doesn't take too long to cast(though it's not the fastest one on my lineup).
