Made an abservation in the last days, then took a small test to try to confirm:

took 2 stacks of rough opaline and 2 stacks of fey cluster
used only spam +progress T3 erlemeyer and T3 question mark buffs
did not react to incidental reactions at all
lvl 37 alchemist with chemistry maxed and racial benefit

result:
40 opalines gave 57 normal vials and 84 pristine vials = 141 vials
40 fey cluster gave 12 normal vials and 144 pristine vials = 156 tempers

Seems that certain raws are meant to be prefrably used to make certain products easier. Can anyone confirm this?

It's true, agates, raw opalline etc. have less durability than the jewelery metal or ore, roughly half the durability.

I noticed this yesterday with tier 3 gold clusters vs rough agate's making hexanoid reagent...The agate's were first to be used by default, and a crit failure kept knocking off around half the pristine bar in durability, which made it hard work to make them all pristine. Then when the agate ran out I got to the gold, and it was much easier to make all pristine because the crit failures were only half as bad durability wise.

I'm pretty sure that's always happened, but I wasn't really paying attention before.

Thx guys. I did'nt know this before. Seems like a topic to add in an Alchemy guide one day.

Greetz,
