From the test update notes...
- The iron bar recipe has been changed to use the correct knowledge types and techniques.
- Pristine versions of Carbonite Vanguard armor can now be created.
- The iron plate recipe has been changed to use the correct knowledge types and techniques.


Now I didn't see it mentioned but I sure hope that means Carbonite Plates and Bars have been fixed too. If so I'm one happy armorsmith.

Nah, the realistic reply is that they forgot about it, and the pessimistic one is that they accidently made it so that carbonite bars use artistry now. ;)

Negative Ghostrider, the pattern is full,

Still the same old BOHICA on carbonite.

1-Plate arms are made with Chain Arm parts
2-Carbonite Bars and Plates still have no skill change
3-Can still use shaped plates to make pristine items

Given that one and two suck, but that three works to our advantage, staying Par isnt so bad atm.

Now heres what I predict for the "The Great Big Make Crafters Happy Patch"

-they fix 1 dont change 2 at all
-make it so you cant use T2/T3 dura/progess in the same round
-fix 3 to be where it should

Net effect...........it gets worse............god I love it.
