View Full Version : Tips on supporting myself from 10 to 20

I'm starting an armorer because my warrior alt on another server needs some armor. Question is, how do I support myself. What can I make that would sell to other players reasonably well; I don't need to be rich, I just need to be able to keep crafting without having to go out hunting for cash.

I know everyone and their mother is making bags, do these still sell? Is there anything else that would?

You may try making some of the subcombines needed at this level for other classes, such as burlap thread and iron spikes. You won't get rich, but at least self-sufficient. I personally only make bags for friends, because its a huge PITA, they don't sell for much on my server, and since they don't stack can only unload a handful a night.

So, sell subcombines for other crafters? Which ones are best to make, any ideas?

Burlap padding, iron spikes, tanned leather cord. These are the things I can't keep in stock.

I may be missing the point here. How would you get the cash/items to the alt?

The bags can stack. Secret is, have one spot open in your inventory in a bag. When you finish making your bag, it will go to the overflow. As long as one free spot remains in your inventory (in a bag) the bags you create will all stck in the overflow. This is not an exploit, it was designed to help out crafters with boxes and their weight.

Even using the overflow slot, that only helps so much -- you can't sell from overflow, and you can't sell a bag that has anything in it, so you have to have a bunch of open inventory slots to sell bags at all, and you're limited in how many you can sell by how many slots you can free up.

I don't know about you, but with all the harvesting I do and with the other things I often try to sell, I have trouble keeping that much space free -- at best I was able to stock two bags a night, and one was much more common (when I actively was selling them). Would be nice if there were some sort of EQ1-like token system for player-made bags.

I just have an alt take the bags/boxes out of shared and then I can use those to sort out my inventory. Doing this, I can have 6 slots open to sell 6 bags. Or, I keep more than that in overflow, set up shop for 6 bags, come back a couple hours later and then move the bags down.
