Doing a full guide for each tier is kind of pointless, because once you get to a certain point, there are so many options and everyone has a different idea of 'reward'. But there are a few combines at the beginning of each tier that are generally acknowledged as highly profitable. (Beginning of tier meaning X0-X3.)
Tier 1
Not really much here, as everyone can make everything, but backpacks and App III's generally sell well.
Tier 2
Craftsman - maple quill, cailun paper
Outfitter - iron spike
Scholar - temper, wash, oil, resin
Tier 3 (and up)
Carpenter - stave
Provisioner - coffee, juice
Woodworker - quill, paper
Armorer - sheet, ring
Tailor - strap, padding
Weaponsmith - bar (?), spike
Alchemist - temper, wash, oil, resin
Jeweler - buckle, stud, strut, chain links
Sage - pattern
Fill in the blanks!

Provisioner: tier 3+
Mountain Coffee (this sells very well to adventurers, and is simple to make).
Fayberry Juice (ditto)
NOTE: These WILL change with the upcoming food patch as they are interim items, and therefore likely to have much less regen value. At which point, Creamed Mountain Coffee will be the preferred drink.
Food just doesn't sell as well, which is a shame, because there are far more food recipes than drink.

Tailors (20-29) can sell boiled leather straps, boiled leather cords, canvas padding, canvas cloth, harnesses (usually armors 25+ will get these so this might not be as "profitable"), canvas thread, and the very light and light armor headgear. Canvas padding seems to be requested often. Armorers need up to 3 of these per combine.
At 25, backpacks come into the picture. To be honest, most everything else seems to be for discovery and skill up exp.
I assume Tier 4 will be similar depending on what kind of armor quests / drops there are and how comparable our crafted stuff is.

Dude, armorers only have four recipies at the start of tier three. Those are bars, rings, plates, and sheets. Everything else is a finished piece of armor, and at level 21 we get two recipies - chainmail gloves and plate gloves, which use all four of the afore-mentioned basic recipies, as well as other stuff from different artisans. It gets so basic at that point that I don't think there is a "more" or a "less" efficient way to work.
