Yup, id def make bags. AFAIK, the armor you make with them is attunable and you will outgrow it and then essentially need to trash it, unless they made it to where you could display it in your room somehow.

Bags are not attuned.

What are you doing with your 8 slot bags when 10, 15, and 20 slotters come around?

20 slot backpack?
I believe it goes (1) 6, (2) 8, (3) 10, (4) 12... (4R) 14?
That would mean that a tier 2 rare (10) is equivalent to a tier 3 common, but with more weight reduction. That's only 2 slots less than the maximum common and with 10% more weight reduction... seems worthy to me?

Chants,
If the pattern we've seen continues, then Durgrok is correct.
I would expect 14 slot commons and 16 slot rare backpacks from tier5 *if* there is even a recipee.

Prolly same thing I did with all my 'crud' i crafted and didnt need / couldnt sell in EQ1.
I would hold my own noob event and give em out as prizes. Especially the acrylia armor. After while, some pieces just dont sell.
Of course, at this point, you cant really have a drunken Noob race since alchol has no real effect.
BUT, something that I did do, and worked out great was have a scavenger hunt.
I would say, first person under lvl 10 or so to give me 5 snake skins, 5 spiderling silks, 5 wolf pelts, and 5 spider legs would get X armor/item for free!!
Second and third place also got items.
The best part is, all the items turned in would go to one lucky noob and then I would train him/her on how to craft it into something.
It was a random number I would pick before the hunt began, that way, everyone turns their stuff in.
It was a lot of fun and I would do the same for any armor that dropped that I didnt need or felt some lucky noob could use. Sometimes even lammies :D

I remember a conversation in guild chat before I left Ebonlore due to extreme overcrowding on Unrest. In this concersations, some people read an official thread by SoE saying that 20slot bags will indeed be crafted. And since Tier 5 (EF / Feerott) is the top tier as far as I know, then I am correct.

I wouldn't make backpacks, I would horde the pelts because when the alts start getting made in a month or two there will be high levels willing to drop good money on better armor even if its not going to last the character very long.

I always said use tier 1 and 2 pelts for bags.
But tier 3 and higher is armor that you're probably going to be wearing for a while. If you're near the low end of that level range, it's probably worthwhile to make it into armor. Sure you can't resell it, but by the time you gain 10 levels, you won't care so much about the money it would sell for anyway.

Yep, just bought a medium quality pelt this morning for 3 gold, and I'm at level 21. Cuirboulli breastplate, here I come.
Honestly, the market couldn't afford to pay for what a 12-slot backpack would cost them right now, anyhow. Just the 10 slot bags are causing people to wail and rail at me incessantly.

I made my Medium pelt into a backpack last night and I don't regret it one bit. 12 slots and 19% weight reduction is very nice when I have been lugging an ash bank box full of weapons for sale on me everywhere I go. Any other weight savings I can get I will take.
If you can get a rare at 21 then I can see using it for armor. But at 25 like me or being a heavy armor class I went bag. I always have too little sotrage space.
Also made a pritine steel greatsword last night. Got the steel cluster for 6 gold and could not resist. What an amazing sword I'll tell you. HUGE power and health not to mention great damage.
Steel weapons are most definatley worth the price.
Hey Durgrok, what book has the Cuirboilli BP in it?
I picked up a medium qualiy pelt last night but I'm only at level 19. Just want to know how long I'll be waiting to be able to try and make this item.
Thanks
