Glass Bottles and Poison Vials.

I hadn't made any glass before, and as an alchemist I can't make the tier 3 glass, but last night I wanted to make a tier 2 potion, made a pristine float glass, made the potion, and then noticed I had 2 float glasses still in my inventory.

Is this normal? Do pristine glass combines get you 3 glasses? Do lower levels get you multiples too? Does this apply to Tier 3 and up?

Any info appreciated :)

At least for tier4 glass- a pristine will yield 3 glass each combine. I made 120 for an alch the other day.

I believe all glass is this way.

Pristine = yield 3
Normal = yield 2
Shaped = don't know, presume 1 or 2
Crude = don't know, presume 1

Just to verify for the database, but this applies to those recipes that create "poison vials" and the potion bottles which are named what? Confirmation on this would be great!

Confirming..

Poison and potion bottles/vials are produced in sets of 3 at the pristine quantity.

The poisons and potions that fill them are single combines currently.

Names are:
Float Glass
Muffled Glass
Mouthblown Glass
Poison Vial
Worn Poison Vial
Worked Poison Vial

It probably applies to Tempered Glass and Advanced/Sealed/Superb Poison Vials too but I have not done these combines.

It definitely makes 3 for every single regular Glass/Vial recipe up to Tier 4 so far...
The question is whether it does for the rare ones. I think I may have some rare loam in bank...

Yeah, it appears to for the rares too Sokolov. I bought 3 or 4 coppers to make scout runes and turned each loam into 3 poison vials NP.

Thanks all! Updated the DB for what we currently have from what's listed. (Checked on everything that was "glass" or "poison vial".)

I'll leave a note for whoever gets to the other vials.

Float glass, enameled glass etc are used for various tiers of alchemist potions. The recipes call for xxx glass bottle, but the item required is xxx glass.

What can you make with the "rare" loam. My friend HAD some from the one rare he had made into a spell, but then sold it off for inventory space before figuring out what could be done with it.

Is it something that would be worth bothering one of my server's adept iii merchants for and seeing if they have any laying around?

Ok, I guess to refine my question I need to be more specific. What can you make WITH the rare glass. I spent 5 gold on a Coral last night, would like to know if that loam will do me any good.

ATM all potions and poisons are basically worthless. A jeweler (scholar actually since it's coral you are talking about) can use the loam to make 3 bottles/vials. An alchemist (scholar again in this case) can use those bottles to make some 'rare' poisons and potions.. Stuff like 30 points of out-of-combat healing or +2% power regen for 10 seconds, also out of combat.

It's all junk atm. That's why you aren't getting any response from people. They were following the 'if you haven't got something nice to say don't say anything at all' policy. Unfortunately there is absolutely nothing nice to say about poisons and potions right now. Perhaps after the big patch..

I scribed Advanced Scolar spells 18 the other day and found the "rare" potions and poisons we can make. However since there is NO description on the items, I don't want to waste the rare glass just to test it out. Maybe if I start getting more coral I could test out one or two.

just make it for the discovery xp assuming you are still around levle 18 it's well worth it. i even have worldwide discovery of one rare potion which i only made for the discovery xp after getting the loam as a side effect of a rare spell i was making.
