problem with iron spikes ~help please~

i've a craftsman, almost level 12, i've examined all the books from the society for my essentials, i've already scribed essentials 10 & 11... i stare at the list that i get when i open each tradeskill station... and for the life of me, i just do NOT have the recipe for Iron Spike. i can make bars, and my other choices are Iron Arrow Head and Iron Plate.

this is really frustrating. am i blind? do i have a bug? help please =D

I'm pretty sure that iron spike is an outfitter recipe as my tailor can make it...why that makes sense, don't ask me.

As an overall advice, please try to consult the recipe books under each forum area to see if it's in a different tree.

i saw that thread... i looked all over just to make sure i have the book... and i do =( it's just not showing up in my recipe book or the forge. i'm quite confused

Make sure you are not filtering anything. Set it to "Unfiltered" in your recipe book. (Standard "can't find it" response.) :D

guess i'll have to petition =/ i don't have so much money laying around to buy these books multiple times >.<

i'm actually looking AT the book on the vendor right now, craftsman essentials volume 10... and NO iron spike is listed in the recipes when examined... none listed in the books up to 12 either... i'm quite confused.

Probably something that will be nerfed soon but...

As a work around you can get someone who has access to each trade instance subclass area to buy the Essential 10 book for each that you don't have (Outfitter and Scholar in your case). At this time the books are scribeable (sp?) by every class. You will then have recipes for Eolith/Stroma as well as iron spikes. You'll have to ignore the 3 recipes for iron sheets but I'm sure you can overlook that. :p
