I won an etched leather belt last night in Runnyeye Citadel off of EL. In the 6 hours we were killing, we only saw 1 drop of any etched leather so my guess is that it is at least a semi-rare to rare drop. It is considered Light Armor so it will require that respective skill to do anything with it.
I'm trying to find a high enough crafter who can work with it and commission them to make into something usable for my Monk. I will post more info on this if I can afterwards.

Fabricators is very light; I think ruckas is very light as well but wouldn't want to promise it.

You make the Canvas Cloth out of Belladonna I believe.

Hey, this is my specialty.
Light Armour:
Boiled Leather (common) - made from sullied medium quality pelts.
Cuirboilli (rare) - made from medium quality pelts
Very Light Armour:
Canvas (common) - made from belladonna
Ruckas (rare) - made from dandelion - never seen this, due to broken Ruckas Cloth recipe.
Bargainers (common) - made from belladonna, seems to be a different style of clothing, but stats and difficulty are close to canvas.
Fabricators (rare) - made from dandelion - no idea what this looks like due to the broken Ruckas Cloth recipe.
Why does V.Light get two styles, and Light gets one? Because!

Probably because of the end-number of cloth wearing classes as opposed to leather wearing classes...
as far as I know only bruiser/monk "ends" in leather, whereas all the mage-types do?

umm i believe this game is just like the old EQ.... so both druid types -- Furys and Wardens? would be leather types

Ah, I'd forgotten those. Alright - nearly balanced in numbers of classes, then.

I went back and edited my previous post. I had fabricator's confused with bargainers.
Should be accurate now.
