As of now, the NDA for the EverQuest II Beta is officially lifted. We encourage our beta testers to share the experiences they’ve had in beta with the rest of the EverQuest II community. Many more people who enrolled in the EverQuest II beta program can expect beta keys in their inboxes in the very near future. In addition, in the past few weeks we’ve let the Legends and Lords of EverQuest players in, and we would like to thank them for their support. We now have four Beta servers up and running including one French and one German server and we’ve let in over 30,000 players since July. In the near future that number will grow far past that. Keep an eye on your inbox!

So I will now start answering questions... we will start work on the real site (may not sart until monday)

so go ahead and ask.

If there is already a thread, ask it ther and I will answer there.

I know I have met a few people from here in beta already and now maybe I will get to meet more and learn more than I have.

Is their any type of serverwide.EQTraders2 channel already? For when I finally get in?

I'm a bit leery of making a serverwide channel that has the name of the site in it, because then folks think we're running it, etc., instead of players running it however they see fit.

That having been said, on beta1, there's a lovely custom channel called "Crafting" that's a good place to hang out. (Good folk also have qeynos_crafting and evils have freeport_crafting, but I prefer something that allows crafters on the entire server to chat.)

I've yet to see anything cross-server, and not sure when/if something like that would be implemented. I suspect that most servers will end up with a "Crafting" since we've got so many entrenched in using it now.
