I mean seriously, beside all the hundreds of bugs in our tradeskilling, the dependancies just seem to harsh. I can understand the need for getting componets from other classes like woodworkers and the such - But as an armorer shouldn't i be able to blacksmith the refined componets such as carbonite bars with my own armorsmithing skills ?
I think doing a simple refine such as that should just need blacksmithing in general, i can understand other componets and the such, but if what I read on these forums is true, how can someone be a good smith, if they can't do the basics ?
Put it simply, I think with all the bugs and the absurd extremes they have on depandencies they should prioritize worrying about the tradeskills rather than the ever so vital making noobie quest item rewards on refuge no-trade, no-value.
But hey, im not a developer, so i dont know what these guys are doing late at night, but just somethign i felt likei needed to rant about

Total revamp? No. A lot of bug fixes and some basic sensible changes? Absolutely.
I 100% agree with you on the armorsmith/bars issue. Any SMITH of any kind who cannot make a simple metal bar of a metal he can work with is no smith. Interdependancy is good up until it becomes anal retentive and this is an example of that kind.
And I am a WEAPONsmith not an armorsmith but even I can see how silly this is.

Aye I believe good blacksmiths learn how to make their own tempers, they don't need to go out to find an alchemist everytime they need to make tempers. That would not be very efficient nor profitable.
The fact that I have to find a woodworker just so I can make a pattern for my armor... I dunno about people at sony but having made real armor in real life, I know I certaintly didn't run out to get a woodworker to make a pattern for me, nor did I have to have a new pattern made everytime I wanted to make armor.

Nor did you use magic, nor were there elves around, nor did you make this armor in Qeynos/Freeport. Contradictions in EQ2 with real life abound. By all means, complain that you don't like interdepency, but back those complaints up with reasons that the game mechanics dont work, not meaningless comparisons with real life.
[EDIT]Oops, message moved to Primal Scream Room even as I typed. Feel free to rant about whatever you want for any reason whatsoever here :D

I would like to see that EVERY final combine useful item requires some interdepedance, not including alchemists wash, resins, oils, tempers. That is overboard. Other than alchemist I think there are only a few examples of too much interdependence.
I want washes, oils, resins, tempers to be vendor sold and then give alchemists some kind of big + to make up for the 'nerf'.
I am having quite a good bit of fun as a 22 woodworker.
