Blackened Iron Ingot?

Searched the forums, didn't find anything on this. From making a pristine bar of blackened iron and pristine blackened iron rings, I recieved blackened iron ingots . Four of them. What are they used for?

Update: WTF? Merchants, now, won't buy the ingots anymore. Are we still at a loss as to their use?

I just got these as well. I've been searching and asking ingame, but I've been unable to find any information.

Anyone have any idea what these Blackened Iron ingots are for?

Have you seen if they work either as Blackened Iron Bars or you can refine them into Blackened Iron Bars?

Alchemists refining a rare metal/gem for Adept III inks get a loam byproduct from the initial reagent combine. These rare loams are used to make rare glass products (by jewellers). I imagine the ingots are for something similar. Of course you need a rare book to get the recipe for the rare glass, so check your recipes for something that uses it, or check the rare book lists in these forums for recipes that sound like they could use it.

Of course, it's always possible a recipe to use it isn't in the game yet :)

lets look at spells

their 3 levels and each of thoes levels has 4 sublevels Efectivly paralel to the crafting levels

the first group are all basicaly made with comons

the second group are made with what i often refer to as idiot rares(as in they are so rare you have to be an idiot just to try and get one. and by the time you get one you no longer realy need what you could have gottenwith it)

the third level of crafting, well somehow I suspect thoes will be made with ultra Idiot rares.

i know one of those "idiots" who has 5 platinum due to his "idiot" like behavior harvesting for rares and such. ill be sure to inform him of his stupidity, althought it may be hard to argue with me not yet having 5 gold

While this is a wonderful discussion on ways to make money, it doesn't really seem to answer the question :)

It doesn't appear to be used in any other recipe (rare or common) through Tier 3. My guild is very tradeskill-heavy guild and I have spent a fair amount of time interrogating my fellow guildies and none of them have heard of any uses for these ingots.

I'm guessing they're just for a recipe that hasn't been implemented yet. I was going to sell em to a vendor today, but I guess that's not an option anymore....(don't worry, I won't be ranting here :) )

Its for a dagger that adds fire damage, must find recipe though. There are other ignots in the game as well that make Leet stuff, have fun, recipe hard to find

I've seen that dagger in game, have no idea where the recipe/quest starts from though. C'mon, Primeaux, just a few more hints? :P
