At level 23 provisioner I still get level 19 combines for workshop quests. Is this normal or is this broken?

When I was level 23 I was getting a combination of tier 2 and tier 3 requests from the Workshop quest giver. Usually I got tier 2 requests. Not sure what I was getting at 24 but at 25 they were all tier 3 requests.

I think it's because we don't get final products till level 24 and the workshop tasks are finish products. When I look at the 30-31 recepts I got it's the same for 30-33: no final products.

The annoying thing I'm finding is that my last request was for IRON SCONCES... Needless to say I requested another task..

From what I can tell, the workshop will select a random recipe, from a white con recipe to artisan level (or blue if you have none), that qualifies as "finished product".
So even though "Black Tea Leaf" might "con" white to you, you won't get that as a workshop recipe because it's not a finished product. You can check what type of recipe it is in your recipes list, I think there are three if I remember correctly... (preliminary, intermediate, and finished product).
Personally, here are the three things which annoy me most:
1) Receiving workshop tasks for recipes I don't have (for instance, receiving a scholar recipe when you're a craftsman). This stops once you choose your subclass, but happens from time to time before then and is quite annoying.
2) Receiving workshop tasks which require subcombine recipes I don't have yet. This happens very frequently with food recipes. You'll have a request for a level 26 finished product which requires intermediate products from level 28. I'm currently stuck like this right now. It's annoying as hell.
3) The wholesaler will always ask for SHAPED quality items (the 2nd output). If you aren't paying attention, and make something BETTER than shaped, the wholesaler won't accept it. This bugs the hell out of me more than the other two. Nothing like doing all the precombines, and make your final product, only to have the wholesaler tell you that your carrot cake is TOO delicious and she won't pay for it. GRRR.

I am uncertain if anything has changed or not, but as a leve 25 provisioner, the last 3 task I have been given have been tier 2 recipes.
Is there anyway to speed up the request for new task, such as deleting the one assigned?

I don't think you can delete a workshop or wholesaler task. You can request a new one later (somewhere on the order of 12-24 hours later).

Since the Dec. 10 patch all of my workshop tasks have not only been in my subclass but all have been at my then current level. IOW when I was 25 all I got were level 25 tasks and then when I hit 26 all I got were level 26 tasks.

I don't think it's working right. At 23, we have finished products for tier 3 in our recipe books. I got Vulrich pie task (level 19). At 24, got another recipe book, with more finished products. Next task: more Vulrich pies!
Bah!

Update: Still level 24 provisioner. Got Sweet Onion Omlette (23), Creamed Antonican Coffee (19), and Sweet Onion Omlette (23). So it looks like it can give you any finished recipe within the last 5 levels. Once you hit 23, you MAY get a tier 3 task, but not necessarily.

Ok, at lvl 36 I'm still getting the quests to make a lvl 29 item. I do have white finished items in my book, so I hope this is a bug that's being fixed. Anyone else having issues still?

P.S. All of the subcombines to make these items are now grey.

I think the time period is much shorter than that. I haven't kept stats on it, but I know it's definately under 12 hours (possibly more on the order of 1-3 hours), since I've gotten a task, requested a new one and been rejected, gone off to craft stuff and returned and gotten a replacement task all in the span of one afternoon. I did notice tho that the timers for wholesaler and workshop are linked, so if you get a replacement task from the wholesaler, and then try to get a replacement from the workshop, the workshop will tell you to come back later.

One hour on the nose. Applies to all task-givers (i.e. the Wholesaler and the Subclass quest-givers are on the same timer - get a new one with one, the other makes you wait an hour).
Found this out over the weekend.

I'd like to add one to your list - the absolute top thing that annoys me the most is getting tasks to make impossible foods. That bloody orange cheesecake recipe is driving me insane, and I get it almost every other time. Vulrich pie is only semi-annoying since I can get meat off the black market.

My latest task is to make Fayberry Martinis. Of course as a lvl 26 Provisioner I cant make the Fayberry wine needed until level 28.
Sounds dumb to me....and the giver won't allow me to get a new one.

Sorry, I meant game hours, not real hours. I really need to specify that, I guess. ;)
Workshop task assignment seems buggy at the moment. I got a tier 4 workshop task (and writ) yesterday and made 5g 76s off it. The next 4 tasks and next 2 writs I got were all tier 3 level 29 recipes, but I still made 5g 76s off them and got roughly the same number of status points for the writ.
On one hand, I like the rewards, but on the other hand, I would rather get recipes appropriate to my level so that I could actually get artisan experience doing these tasks.
