Does anyone know the purpose of advanced throwing axes? The stats for throwing axes, knives and such is tied to the range slot item, which is a tailored item. So is there any real purpose to using extra money to make iron throwing axes or power producing tin throwing axes.

Don't know from experience on axes, but my iron hunting arrows have better range than the non-hunting iron arrows. So maybe iron range is just better than tin too?

Not that ive been able to notice. Throwing axes have no stats whatsoever, the dmg, dly, and range is tied to a bandolier which is a tailored item worn in range. I tried switching out between iron and tin throwing axes, and noticed no change in any of the stats on the bandolier, so unless its a bugged increase that doesnt display i can see not bonus to using more expensive throwing axes.

I have a RL buddy who is a weapon smith on permafrost i called him and asked him to make some tin and iron throwing daggers and test the diffrences between them. your right the stats on the shieth does not change but he said he noticed an aproximate 5 avarage damage increase between tin and iron when he tested it on greens in antonica. All i can think of is maybe there is an inherrent damage modifyer . /shrug
