ok I'm a level 19 Scholar. made the push to make jewler but. fug.. I can't make IRON SHEETS. so I had to wait on others to make em for me. This irratated me to no end.

So I was curious from the higher level people.
what can you make solo from tier 3 stuff?

what do you need from others?
can you make your Tempers and Resins, and Oils?
and metal bits you need and can't make?

basically. I don't feel like buying all the SUB-components from greedy others, just to sell my jewelery for a lame profit. heh, and for training for that matter.

so I'm stuck as to be a Jeweler or an Alchemist.

need to research but clarity potions and being a greedy sub-component maker may be a decent replacement for my Jeweler Dreams.

Better be Alchemist then. You will then be able to produce at least this oils and tempers without any other people.
Or you should have become a provisioner.

All classes (except provisioner as it looks) are supposed to need other classes for their products. And I like this concept :)

Nah. heh my mother is a provisioner. and I'm 22.. think about that one. ..heh kewl parents.

well my reasoning for perhaps becoming an alchemist, was that I could make potions for myself.. but I can't do that without a jeweler. so I guess I stay a jeweler as planned. and network out. omg... bye bye lonely crafter hermit.

I deal with people enough as a healer. lol.

Yeah, if you really hate buying things from other players you'll have to be an alchemist rather than a jeweler. There's nothing a jeweler can make tier 3 solo.

On the positive side, the profit from being a tier 3 jeweler is anything but lame IMO. On Oasis level 21/22 tier 3 jewelry sells for 1g a piece, and it's not any harder to make than tier 2 jewelry, just have to buy about 10 or 15s or so of tempers/resins from alchemists. Of course I didn't like that idea (plus I'm a swashbuckler so I wanted to play around with poisons), so I made an alchemist alt.
