View Full Version : Change in Tier two Quest rewards?
Last night i was doing a work order for mysociety.
I was expecting a reward of about 45s.
Instead i was given 6s.
By no means did i make anything on this deal thats for sure.
Anyone else notice this at all?
I did change the quest one time to better suit my class but i have done this before and not been penalized per say.

I did a similar task, I was asked to make 10 App3 Ensnare's. It didn't take a huge ammount of time. It was however an odd request for a Outfitter, however I did have the recipie. I went through all the motions and made all the items and finally finished my 10th one. I went back and got a whopping reward of 9 silver.....
I was obviously less than pleased. A single app3 Ensnare is going for about 3 to 5 silver by its self. I got 9 silver total for 10... anyway just pre-warning and empathizing with your situation. The rewards for society tasks suck thus far. I hope they are fixed soon.
As a side note, the Tradeskill writ guy is broken so you can't even tradeskill to help the guild.

The reward used to be like 46 silver ... last night I finished my task to make 10 Iron Cutlasses and got like 32 silver. I think 10 sell to merchants for more than that

I got 9s for 10 iron dirks. Hopefully the vast difference means it's a bug.
Same here, the two Tier 2 tasks I did for the workshop netted me 9 silver. I could have sold the finished products for 3-4 times that, and the time taken wasn't worth the status gained (only 13 of us in the Silent Blades society on Everfrost, so we aren't going up in level anytime soon...)
I'll give another workshop task a try this weekend (I'm 6 levels higher now), hopefully the reward will be commensurate with the difficulty and/or annoyance factors of the order.

Have to agree with the original post. I made 10 Savory Sunfish sandwiches for a tier 2 task and received a whopping 9s. Prior to turning them in went to the vendor to see what they would give me for the extra Sunfish steaks which is a component of the sandwich and received 90cp for the component. Huge disappointment with reward.

Something changed, indeed, I did the sunfish sandwich one last week and got 40 or so sp.
/bug it.

What did you make for the 36 silver? I made 10 vests for 9 silver reward, but those are Tier 1 grade recipes.

I got 36 silver for 10 iron cutlasses.
Have to make 10 iron chainmail bracers next ... I don't think it would be worth it if the reward were 36 silver...I'd be outraged if I got 9.

I can easily get 15-20sp a pop for any chainmail i make and have sold entire smithing runs of 2 full suits in the commonlands with a single auction. No way i would ever turn in 10 to the guild for 36 silver, even to get status points and help level my society. SoE really needs to revisit the rewards gained from the quests, or atleast increase the amount of guild exp is gained to make it worth the sacrifice.

was given task to make leather satchels - got 9s less than a wholesalers task that requires no skill!! probably barely broke even, really irritating!
I was hoping that trades quests would be an alternative to adventuring, but not with useless rewards like this :(

I've done 3 tier 2 workshop quests so far. Have gotten 36sp each time.

Well after reading some posts I thought I'd try this again. So I accepted another tier 2 task.
I Was asked to make 10 shapped tin Symbols. (I ended up making 13 because I had a few disasterous combines that ended up as crude.)
I sold the crude Tin Symbols to merchant for 1s 25c each. Took my combines up to the guy at the counter and he graciously told me thank you and gave me a whopping 9s.
End result I lost money and time. It seems to me there is no point in doing these tasks. I'm extremely frustrated  with this system.

I don't know what level you are Chok, but tin symbols are a tier 1 recipe, not tier 2. I'm sure that's why you are getting less money for it. I don't know the normal payout for a tier 1 item task. Tier 2 seems to be levelled out at 36sp.

Except that Tin Symbols are a level 9 combine. Which is *probably* why you only got 9 silver.
I did notice something odd when I did Tin Symbols last night. Crude sell for 1s25c and Shaped sell for 1s8c. Odd.
Hinky, even.

I'm pretty sure the 2nd task I did for my Outfitter Society was for Tin Symbols, and I got 46 silver for them ... this was before the "fix"
On a side note, can you place Tin Symbols in your apartment?

Moon,
I'm now Level 12 Outfitter. Do I need to do something different to get "Tier 2 Quests". All help appreciated. I feel like the eternal Noob of this forum.
Thanks,

Before the patch that made these changes, I got 46 sp for 10 jum-jum and pecan trail mix. which is technically a tier 1 formula, after the patch I got 36 sp for 10 shortswords, which is a tier 2 formula.

At level 12 you 'should' get tier 2 tasks. I'd suggest changing the task if you're getting tier 1. Maybe that'll kick it in gear, I never got a tier 1 task after level 11. /shrug
