I am able to make patterns as a Craftsman but when I hit level 20 what do I want to pick to continue making patterns?

So I researched the descriptions and found these...
Woodworkers do the weapons (shields, fletching, staves)
Carpenters do the furnishings and the bank boxes.

I can assume woodworkers but it is still not clear. Anyone know as a fact?

If you are referring to generic threadbare, generic burlap, etc etc patterns, then I know that the burlap is listed as an artisan level 10 skill and can be found in the drop only Artisan Essentials 10 book. As far as what class will continue to make them? I hope and pray to god that it's Tailor. That's what makes the most sense. What in the hell would any other profession, logically, know about making a pattern for clothing other than a tailor?

I do however worry, it seems when crafting the patterns, they do not make use of the light armor or tailoring skills, rather, I think they are fletching?? I don't particularly remember, but I know it's not tailoring/light armoring.

drop only Artisan Essentials 10 book.

Where have you seen reference to this book? I'm pretty sure it doesn't actually exist..

You are correct, the actual book is craftsman essentials volume 10

And as for the patterns, I did check, they are
Technique: Fletching
Knowledge: Loom

Can anyone explain to me how craftsman get the tier 2 patterns, but somehow they get moved over to sages for tier 3 (and most likely 4 & 5).

Seems they should stay in the same sub-class set, everything else I've seen does.

To tell you the truth, I think it is a bug that it is crafstman... should be scholar (just from the logic standpoint... not from the X-Class needs a dependancy standpoint)

Heh ... this is one where Ngreth and I view it differently.

Craftsmen work in wood. Patterns, and paper, are wood-based products, and thus, the bailiwick of craftsmen.

At level 20, woodworkers continue on with making the paper (and quills), but for some odd reason, even though they make the paper, and can make the thread, they don't make the actual patterns. Guess they realized that with the huge revamp to how skill/spell upgrades were done at the end of beta, they'd taken too much away from the sages, so decided to give them the patterns, though it makes progression more than a little wonky.

So patterns will be under Scholar after level 20?

Craftsmen make tailoring patterns?

............ ROFL, I have this image of a Saville Row tailor drumming his fingers impatiently as a be-jeaned chippie sucks the nib of his pencil, leans over a stack of MDF and proceeds to scratch out the outlines of a pin stripe suit.
