Where do I go? Who do I talk to? Where is a "forge' for Scholars, or whatever it's called. The in-game menu doesn't have *1@*!* about Scholars.

I don't know what to do next to become a full-fledged Scholarly dude.

Thanks to any all that help me.

Hi there. While I am a Scholar newbie, I have found the best place to get started for any artisan is a wholesaler. Most towns have one. They'll allow you to experiment with all kinds of crafting, which is important since you need to learn to make the ingredients for your spells, et al. I have been having a great time making spells, gems, paper, etc.

I would recommend you practice using all of the "forges" to start with. It will increase your crafting skill even if not directly useful. However, I have found almost everything is useful. For example, woodworking and chemistry make quills and inks for spells. Give everything a try, and have fun!

You have to join a Scholar society. Now that you have spoken to Alfred Ironforge and are a scholar, you should be admitted when you talk to the person outside the society. In the Baubleshire for eg. the Scrivener's Society is the sholar society.
I just joined and now I'm focusing on making the subcombines for the Apprentice III spells. I bought the first couple of scholar books (over 4sp ea. - ouch) so now I'm gathering the components to make sepia dye then sepia ink.
